Looking at the clock I seen that it was 5:26 a.m. and I wasn't tired at all, I was still at the studio with Demario and I was really enjoying myself in the little time we have been talking he was so laid back and I admired that a lot because he didn't seem to stress over life too much he just goes with the flow and I picked up on that.
"how long you been doing music?" I asked sipping on my water
"since I was like 8 I had a thang for music it but I ain't start pursuing it and taking it serious till I was like seventeen-eighteen."
"how far do you want to go with this?"
"till the wheels fall off." he grinned looking at me then back at the sound board
nodding my head I zoned out for a minute as I scrolled through my phone, feeling a nudge to my arm I looked up
"what about you? any dreams? ambitions?" he asked
"modeling, I've always wanted to pursued it."
"what you waiting on love?" He asked as his face scrunched up a little
"I don't knowww, it's just a thought," I said shrugging it off
"nah love you need to get your shit togetha' and work for what you want before it's too late." He lectured pointing his finger at me
"you already preaching to me, but for real you're right."
"get use to it." he grinned
we talked and talked and talked.. and I enjoyed every bit of it, it was now 7:57 a.m. and we decided to go home and get some sleep
"text me when you get home babygirl." He said as he wrapped his arms around my small frame giving me a short hug
"I will." I said before getting in my car allowing him to close the door for me
scurrying off into the street I stopped to get me something to eat then went home for the night..slash day
getting comfortable in my bed I grabbed my phone and sent Demario a text letting him know I was home safely, I didn't know Demario well but I would say there's a friendship now and I didn't have many 'friends' so I didn't mind talking to him plus he's actually not bad
- - Monday morning
Sitting in the conference room I twirled the pen in between my fingers multiple times as we waited for the corporate team to come, I've been here for about a hour waiting to discuss my half of the story about the relationship between me and Jeanine since I started working there
It was just me and Jeanine in the room and it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop and I was just fine with it because I was already irritated with the fact that I had to be here and then taking this long to a meeting they planned didn't make the situation better
After about 20 more minutes 3 gentlemen walked into the room with suits on and they all had file folders in their hand
"hello ladies, I'm sorry for the long wait how are we doing today?" one of the men spoke
"hi I'm doing fine how are you" I said
"hello mr.wickers you look Devine in that suit how's the wife?" Jeanine said making me roll my eyes
"save it Jeanine your behavior since you have been promoted is unacceptable and it is inexcusable"
"hit mr.wickers none of the events that occurred are my fault ms.jinsui confused to comply with her work hours and sir if she knew she was capable of working them this just shouldn't have been a job she should have applied for I'm just saying" Jeanine spoke politely looking at the men that at me with a slick grin on her face and every word that left her mouth just infuriated me more
"let me stop you there Jeanine" I said leaning up in my chair placing my arms on the table, "you have abused every bit of your ducking authority since you have became manager, we were fucking cool when you had the same title as me once you get you a little "name" for yourself now you run shit you're the big boss and everyone has to bow down to you you knew that those hours were fucking ridiculous, this woman has had me working nonstop with the most in-workable hours and yes I worked them and yes I tried my hardest to respect her but I had a breaking point because she's just so damn evil and Jeanine if you thought for one moment that I was going to constantly kiss your ass to save my job then you can go to hell" I said I was so mad that I didn't realize I was standing up at this point
The room got quiet as I sat back down pulling my chair up
"well then we have come to a conclusion" one of the men said looking in between us
"Jeanine we are putting you back in your old position and placing you at a different location away from ms.jinsui and for you ms.jinsui were going to get you some vacation days a manageable schedule for when you come back thank you ladies for your time and ms.jinsui you'll be receiving a call from us" He said as the got up and walked out of the conference room
Standing up out of my sit I swayed around the table until I got to the door looking back at Jeanine for my final words
"Hey Jeanine" I teased
"What?!" She said irritably while rolling her eyes
"Karma's a bitch"
Walking out the building I felt really good because for one I stood up for myself and I didn't feel any remorse behind it and I was loving it.
