The sky was dark and cloudy, it was getting late. Tom should have been home by now. He's been doing this more and more lately and you can't help but wonder what he's up to. You sit in front of the big window in your living room, staring at the scenery. It's starting to rain and Tom is still not home. You and Tom share a cute little apartment in New York. It's the perfect size for the both of you. One bedroom, one bathroom, the living room, and a decently sized kitchen. Your favorite spot is the window seat, where you are currently sitting. You love looking outside and watching all the people walk by below you. It's also the best spot to read a good book. Your day dreams were interrupted by the front door opening and closing. You turn to see Tom standing in the doorway. His hair was dampened from the rain. He looked quite tired too, but he needed to know how you truly felt.

"Where have you been? Tom this is becoming a regular thing with you and I demand to know what you're up to." You were serious. You wanted to know if he was cheating on you.

"It's nothing love, you don't have to worry about it." He tried dodging your question and went to kiss you, but you turned your head away from him.

"I just don't understand Tom. Are you cheating on me?" You were done playing games. You deserve to know the truth.

"What? Of course not! I would never do that to you y/n."

"Then just tell me what you've been doing after work." You were getting more and more angry with each passing minute.

"I just can't tell you." He turned to walk into the bedroom. Leaving you in the living room.

"You know what Tom. Have your secrets, but I'm not about to put up with this." You slipped on your shoes and left the apartment. Slamming the front door behind you, you quickly ran out of the apartment building. You could hear Tom calling after you, but you didn't care. The rain poured down on you and the wind whipped through your now soaked hair. You managed to get to the park down the street. You sat at one of the benches and began to cry, burring your face in your hands.

"I new you'd come here." It was Tom.

"And how did you know that?" You looked up at him.

"This is where we had our first date. It's your favorite spot in New York. Y/n you were right. You do deserve to know what I was doing after work." Tom took your hand and got down on one knee in front of you. This was the last thing you expected.

"Tom what are you doing." You questioned.

"I wanted this to be perfect so almost everyday after work I would go to all these different stores to find you the perfect one, and today I did just that. Y/n you always thought the rain was romantic so I might as well do this now." Tom reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a little box. he opened it, reveling a diamond ring to you.

"Y/n, will you marry me and be mine forever?" You went from sad tears to tears of joy.

"Yes! Yes of course I'll marry you Tom!" You both got up and he pulled you into a passionate kiss. He then slipped the ring on your finger. It was a perfect fit.

"I just wanted everything to be perfect. I spent time talking to my coworkers and going to Harrison's house to discuss the possibilities of the perfect proposal, But then I realized something tonight. It really doesn't matter how special I make the proposal. The only thing important to me is being able to spend the rest of my life with you." Tom smiled at you, and you agreed with what he had to say.

"I love you Tom Holland, forever and always." You pulled him into a hug.

"Forever and always babe, and here, take my jacket you must be freezing." Tom took off his jacket and wrapped it around your body. "Now, let's go home." You both left the park and headed home. You'd never forget that night.
