Superiority

Chapter One

Kaneki POV

"Most of our spies haven't returned as of yet. I do not understand why. Humans do not stand a chance against us, how come they haven't returned?" Yoshimura said pacing through the restaurant.

"Maybe they were killed?" I said cleaning the tables.

"That's impossible! No human will try to fight a ghoul and win." Yoshimura said.

"Not only that, they do not have the special weapons or equipment to kill us. No human or ghoul has ever ventured out that far." Enji said cleaning the cups.

"Whatever happened, who or what, if they were killed then something is out there that is more dangerous than we previously thought." Touka said.

"This is not good. I will have to alert our allies about this matter. A brave soul must venture out into the world to recover the information that was suppose to been here." Yoshimura said staring at the wall.

Everybody stayed silent. Nobody dared to leave the wards to venture out what's on the other side. We are currently fighting our own problems with the CCG and other ghoul affiliations. I want to help out the cause. I haven't done anything good so far and I want to start now.

"I'll go!" I said breaking the silence. Everybody just stared at me.

"Are you crazy? I knew you was mental but this has gone too far!" Touka said.

"I want to help! If they figure out our locations, we are doomed! Like Yoshimura said, nothing west of the wards has encountered a ghoul before. It's easy pickings! Please." I said holding Touka shoulders.

"But you'll di-!"

"Let him go. This is his decision. Can you start your journey tomorrow morning?" Yoshimura said.

"Yes sir!" I said.

"Excellent. I will pack some food for you on your journey. Use your ghoul's speed to make your trip much less time consuming. If in danger, kill. Show no mercy." Yoshimura said putting his hand on my shoulder.

"If he's going than I'm going too!" Touka said.

"No. You'll serve better here." I said.

"What? So you saying I'm incapable of doing this? Your saying this like you been doing this for years, newbie." Touka said shoving me towards the wall.

"N-No. By all means come." I said not wanting to get her anymore angry.

"Get some rest. You'll definitely need it." Yoshimura said heading out the door.

"Lock up. I'm heading home. Good luck." Enji said leaving behind with Yoshimura.

"Embarrass me like that again, I'll cut your head off." Touka said giving me a death glare.

*The Next Day*

"Please be safe." Roma  said giving both of us hugs.

"Make us proud loser. Keep him in check Touka" Nishiki said punching me in the arm.

"You know I will. Lets go." Touka said grabbing my wrist.

"We will return!" I yelled giving them my last goodbye wave.

I heard Mr. Yoshimura said his last word before I couldn't hear anymore.

"They'll make it Roma. They are intelligent to survive out there."
