When we first met, you were warm and kind, I thought you were the one
The first year was great, I thought it would stay the same
But slowly, day by day,
Sweet nothings had turned into insults
Soft caressing turned into bruising my body
Hugs turned into strangling
Kisses turned into punches
"Leave them!" Everyone says, and I know I should, I know it's unhealthy, but they wouldn't understand, the person who hurts me the most, makes me feel the most alive.
Smiling turned into constant fear
And finally I realized the only way to get out
So day by day, I plan
I wrote the goodbye
And smile one last time, this is the last time I feel pain,
Is when life turned into death
And I took my own life.
