𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝, Charlie Gilmore is the first daughter of Lorelai Victoria Gilmore, older than her twin Lorelai Leigh Gilmore by fifteen minutes. She lived in Stars Hollow, Connecticut until she was 18 years old, with her mother and sister. Her father, Christopher Hayden, was absent and she had minimal contact with her grandparents the age of sixteen. Charlie is widely known in her hometown as the troublemaker, having partaken in many illegal activities such as minor theft, underage drinking, and disrupting the peace, by her late teen years she had grown out of this attitude and was focused on getting into Yale University, where she majored in Psychology.
