2019 winter it was snowing New york was always lovely this time of year, Christmas was lonely as i stepped into the falling snow i tryed not to thinking about the events that lead me to my current reality,to the world's current reality as i turned left and walked up the street to the lonely man and his cart, i brought a bagel and a hot chocolate paid him and went on my way, " Lilly" i turned but no one was thier i brushed it off and headed to work, the world hab to move on, the world had to keep going and keep going we did as i walked up the stairs to my office as i unlocked the door i swear i was being watched, again i brushed this feeling off and opened my bookstore the event had returned us to old fashioned ways, i had been opened for and hour or so when the bell dinged, a man walked in headed to the back anddisappeared from my veiw i watched him on the camera and he kept him face covered with a hoody, i decided to see what he was doing and headed to the back of the store, as i turned the courner i stoped in my tracks and almost screamed " james?" The man locked at me and blinked then took a step back, his mouth droped in shock then he swolled hard, then spoke his voice was like honey sweet, soft and familiar " Lilly, my Lilly but how?" I started to back away from him he walked towards me he reached out with his none metal hand and touched the sided of my face, i reached up and placed my hand over his, as a tear rolled down my face he wiped it with his thumb i tryed to speak but nothing came out, " james, oh god, I have I" as i still had no words i looked down at my left hand at the teal ring on my finger, he also looked down at my left hand, then reached for my left hand with his other hand, as he dis this i closed my eyes which were blue and chocked out the only words i wanted, need to say, " i missed you" he looked towrds the door and then just left, my heart droped and i slowly fell to the floor and cried, the world had changed and the dead had returned so now more questions would come out, secrets i had kept for a very long time.
1981 16 years after the war, I was 36 and working as a nurse, the war changed everything, i never looked back i lost someone I loved, i lost a man who i wanted to be with, whi i was going to have a life with, lilly stop i say to my self, i needed a distraction so i did what i could to stop the pain, i worked as hard as i could suddenly a voice drew me back feom the past" lilly" " hey anne, what's wrong?" " doctor hanes is asking for you" " okay" as i walked to doctor hanes office i bumped into someone but never saw who, i knocked on the door " come in" as i walked in and sat down doctor hanes looked at me and i knew he had put to and to together, " so you know" i said not looking up from my lap, " yes im sorry but im afraid your employment here is terminate effective amedently, i wish you well but knowing your diagnosis and all i am truly sorry" as i stood up and left i felt my heart break i knew i couldn't keep my cancer hiden for long, i just need to keep working just long enough to keep helping my mom, i walked home in the rain and wished for a small amount of hope but what i got was something else, something more.
2019....preaent after my blast from the past i decided to lock up and head home i lived just around the corner from the bookstore my loft was a reward for my hard work....hard work i guess you could call it that, i decided to have a bath a watch a movie, i just wanted today to be over but the Journey was just starting.
Bucky's POV.
" the last thung I remember was say steve then nothing, darkness and sadness then i was suddenly standing across the street from a bookstore, that's when i saw her, someone i hadn't seen since the war, somehow she was here alive, breathing then i remember made her a promise, so i walked over and it was like stepping back in time, her hair was longer still the brown colour but she wore it differently now up in a messy bun, she still wore glasses and minimal makeup, she was wearing a grey pencil skirt, white shirt and a vest and black heels, her sent was heaven to me and drew me in to her but her beauty and power was still just as it was the last time i saw her, as I walked to the back she watched me her blue eyes fixed on me, then after a second of feaking out she was there looking at me, i wanted to grab her and kiss her, then she said it, my name " james" only she and my mother called me by my real name and oh how i loved how it sounded coming from her beautiful mouth, the red lipstick she had on was so inviting after touching her face and seeing she still wore the ring i gave her with my promes i had to go, i need to go and figure out what the hell was going on.
Lilly: As i sat on my bed, with a small pile of old pitcuers on my doona one inportant one, as i held it in my hand a tear fell and i just sat there crying the love i felt for James had never left seeing him today, looking as handsome as ever the only thing different was he had lost his arm and yes i heard the rumors of the winter solder, i never thought for a second that i would ever see james again, he dided in the war but now he was here and i didn't know what that ment the sound of my phone ringing made me jump, i got if the bed and walked over i picked up the handset " hello" " Lillian it's mom" " i know who it is, hey mum, having a good day?" " yes so i wanna go see daddy can we go see him?" " mom dad's dead he dided i when i was 10 remember" " no lilly's dead" " okay mom, yes she's dead mom i have to go, ill vist tomorrow ok" her mom hanges up, as i lay down on my bed, i felt my eyes get heavy and then i fell a sleep, my dreams where strange and filled with darkness, then i was making love to james i woke up in a sweat it was now dsrk out and i realized I was starving, so i grabed my warm coat and a scarf my bag and decided to go out to eat, i found a small indian restaurant and orded the butter chicken to go as i waited i felt a pulling, i apid for my food then walked home, " you dont need to stay behind me, james" i say as i stop in the snow he walked up and stood next to me, " did you get enough for 2 kid?" " hold on" i say as i turn back and order a second meal honey chicken and a rice and some nan bread, as we walkes back to my place we don't talk but we do hold hands, once in side my loft i sit the food on the bench, take of my coat and scaf then walk in to the kitchen grab 2 plates, " beer?" " why not, lilly how are you here?" James asks " well ( i say as open the fridge and grab 2 beers and james sits at the bench, i had him a beer) how are you here?" " hydra?" " no but seriously you look amazing james" " lilly you haven't changed" " yeah im older and i kiss me" " what?" " you don't want to?" " oh of course I do" he gets up puts his beer down walks over to me and puls me in to him and kisses me as our lips touch it was like home, he was home to me, i felt his hands run down my back and then his hips move closer to mine, he was becoming hard, i suddenly wanted him, wanted to rip his clothes off and have him right there but i stopped my self, he pulled away his breathing was heavy, " lilly" " yes " " i starving" " right lets eat" we spent the whole night talking, watching tv and eating the food, it was like we never said goodbye and now we had more questions, the answers to which would be answered soon as another familiar face was about to return.
