This is dedicated to VkookYasss. Thank you for the suggestion and I hope you all like it!
My curtain is thrown open revealing the moon just starting to fully show it's pale face. "Five more minutes, Jerard!" I whine.
My sheets get pulled off in response. "Young master, you're expected to attend the ball with all the other important guests. As host and future king, it's your duty to-"
"Yes yes yes. To find a suitable mate to help rule the kingdom. Dad's close to moving on and yet he can't seem to stop reminding me," I mutter with an eye-roll.
After Jerard helps me into a black turtle-neck, black slacks, and a black overcoat, he leaves without another word presumably to make me breakfast.
I stare at the heavy-set doors, my eyes trace the patterns engraved deep in the oak. I take a deep breath and plaster a smile onto my face.
I beam out at all the pale faces turned to the sound of the doors slamming open. The gold glittering ceiling blinds me temporily, "That's something I need to change once I'm in charge..." I think to myself before wading through the bodies and hands reaching out to touch me.
My head snaps up at the sound of my name being called. I look around trying to place it but something seems off about it. Something didn't sound right about the voice. Then I hear it again, in my head. "Jungkook!"
I keep pushing through the people up to my father's throne to take my place next to him. "Ah. Such a nice ass too! Mhmmm."
I look over my shoulder and catch a glimpse of a darker skinned man with faded pink hair. Sitting down, I look over the crowd with a bored look but look hungrily for another glimpse of the man that I was sure was the one in my head. "Dad-"
"Why do you look so distracted and bored. Your people expect you to be invested in them and their survival. If you can't instill trust in them how do you expect to keep your throne?"
Pink Haired Boy's POV
I look around at the filthy bloodsuckers and shake my head at myself. I was supposed to infiltrate this party to take out the king and as many as I could but the moment I laid eyes on him... I knew Jungkook by his reputation. All the vampire hunters spoke about him in the tavern. Silent, dangerous, and unintentionally seductive. I was prepared for the vampire charm but Jungkook's charm was a whole other beast and nothing could have prepared me.
I find myself wandering closer and closer to the throne. I duck behind a tall female as I see a man in a rich purple suit turn towards me, "You know, Charles, Jungkook is the last pureblood alive. If anyone can protect us from the stupid humans, it's him."
The man next to him grabbed his arm and leaned into him, "I know, Ethan. And you would love the chance to court him because that means you get to be in charge with the might of a pureblood behind you. You're just-"
"Shhhhhh. That's not true!" the purple suited man, Ethan, whispered roughly pulling on the lapels of the other man's white suit.
Charles' white suit was released and the men continued walking arms linked, "You know that he will choose his mate at the end of the ball. You get one dance with him to prove that you're worthy. He may be pretentious and a spoiled brat but he's not stupid. He'll choose a younger female so his power will never be threatened."
"I don't know... he's gay as we all know-"
My vision swims and my heart soars. I slink down and slide between the dancing vampires, suprised that they haven't smelt my blood yet. Maybe their wine glasses were hidding me better than I thought.
Popping my head up, I see Jungkook twirling a girl in a navy blue gown around. Looking at his shoulders, I take an unconscious step forward wishing I could dig my fingers into those taunt muscles. My eyebrows furrow as I feel my ears heat up before he turns and I see the pure agony he's in from her company.
Jungkook's POV
I keep twirling the dull girl wanting nothing more than to die. I dip her and turn us so I can stop seeing my father stare holes into my forehead.
I look out at the people and see the pink hair first, then the red cheeks. I stop as it hits me. "He's human..." I breath as the girl falls to the floor. I see his eyes close as the tittering laughter causes his shoulder to move up and down. His slender fingers cover his plump pink lips. I bite the inside of my cheek to keep myself from drooling as I watch his eyelashes flutter open.
The mirth dies down from his face as his body goes rigid. "Shit!", his deep voice echoes in my brain.
I try to go after him when a heavy hand knocks me back to my surroundings. "May I have this dance?" a man asks. I smile and nod knowing I have no right to refuse but know that I'm not going to enjoy it.
I twirl and am twirled for much longer than I would like. Finally escaping a fat elderly man, I turn to go get a drink and run straight into someone. "I'm sorry," I says the distain plain in my voice. I go to walk around the person when I feel warm hands grab my waist firmly. I open my mouth to gasp or curse them out I'm not sure when I hear a deep voice in my ear. A shiver runs down my spine and I do gasp, "Dance."
My body is flush with his and we're moving before I'm even proccessing what's happening. I feel his heart beat in my chest and I ache for a human childhood for the first time in two centuries.
I turn to him and see his soft skin and I tighten my grip on his shoulders. "H-how did you get in here..." I whisper, my voice husky.
I feel his teeth on my jawline and my body jerks closer to his, my lips wet and trembling. "My name is Taehyung," his voice in my head and my ear take the last bit of strength I may have had. My head hits his shoulder and my mind speaks for me, "Take me. Anywhere."
His rumbling laughter shakes me to my core. With a moan, Taehyung lifts me up and I wrap my legs around him as if by second nature. My eyes flutter closed as I feel my back hit the wall and his lips trail down my neck.
