"Damn it... I don't know if I can do this." Alex said as she lifted her dress to walk up the steps. She was wearing a slim fitted, peach pink gown that made her tanned skin stand out as it flares near her feet. It had an open back that was connected by 2 thin gold chains in a cross-like design. "It's okay, Alex. Tonight is to enjoy yourself and makes some friends." Said her best friend Johnny, the man who invited her in the first place. They had been inseparable since grade school and he knew her better than she did. "Johnny, you know I don't like parti-"

"Staying locked inside the house is a no-go, you need to get out so I'm bringing you here." He looked down at Alex as she slightly pouted. She barely stood at 5 ft, Alex was short and had a small frame, but was large in the chest and ass department. Johnny himself stood at 5 ft 8 in with wide shoulders and long legs, "Plus, after all that's been going on... being stuck in the house isn't much of a good idea. Your mom would agree with me." Alex hung her head slightly as Johnny wrapped his long arms around her to give her a hug. She really didn't want to go to the party, mostly because it was a bunch of snotty rich people that don't give a flying fuck about others. She would never befriend anyone here.

"Also Alex, make sure you keep your sticky fingers to yourself." He looked at her with a slightly raised eyebrow. Alex gave a slight scoff and said under her breath, "Its an art."

Johnny gave a hearty laugh and said stealing wasn't an art and she was nothing but a cold-hearted criminal. "But I'm kinda serious Alex. These people aren't rich because their dumb. If you get caught, I don't know if I can get you out."

"Don't worry, I can deal with my own problems. But I can't keep any promises." Alex gave a sly smile as she bounced her way to the front doors. Johnny shook his head and laughed at her antics. He followed her to the front door where they staff checked their names and then let them through. "Alex, if you really feel like you wanna leave, call me and I'll take you home right away."

Alex gave a halfheartedly nod and slowly stalked towards the food tables and left Johnny in the crowd. 'First off, I'm gonna grab something to eat and drink and go explore this big ass building. I mean, all this space and the party is only on the first floor.' As Alex continued her way toward the refreshments, the lights dimmed and what seemed like stage lights came on and lit up a stand on a large staircase. 'Oh god, this is that annoying shit where the host just talks, whatever, I got my eye on the food.'

As Alex found the table she heard a deep voice rumble through the crowd as someone began to speak. She looked and saw a tall dark skinned man, who was the epitome of sex on legs. This man was incredibly handsome, and he had this air of dominance around him. 'But got damn he's intimidating.' She thought as she scooped up some desserts and walked to a nearby wall. She settled against it as she continued to watch the man give his speech. But no matter how much she listened, her mind wasn't paying attention at all to his words. She couldn't help but admire his features and her thoughts continued to get less than innocent as time went on.

Then the man's speech was over and the party continued as if it hadn't happened and Alex was already feeling her boredom seep in. She had been standing there for about 5 minutes after the speech and couldn't sit still anymore. She walked along the walls and saw different staff members guarding different doors, which only annoyed her, but then she decided to take a stroll in the outside gardens. 'If I can't get anywhere from inside, I'll have to find something outside.'

Alex, being the dork she is, started to pretend she was 007 while humming the theme under her breathe as she crept outside and around the building. 'You have to be shitting me....right?' she thought as she saw thick vines leading up the side of a wall to an open door in a small archway. 'This seems a bit too easy.... oh well.' she shrugged her shoulders and then began her way up. She steadily climbed the vines until she reached the small balcony and made her way onto the platform.

Slightly out of breath she leaned onto the edge as she tried to calm herself down. 'That was 10 ft of climbing and I'm already out of breath, what the fuck?' she reprimanded herself, knowing that she's never gonna actually exercise. She made her way through the doors and looked down the halls in case of security, and when she saw that no one was there, she continued on her way.

Soon she turned a corner that had an elevator, 'Yes, finally.' she said as she pressed the up button. But as soon as the elevator dinged and the doors open, two staff members rounded that same corner she came from. She quickly jumped into the elevators and shut the doors before they could reach her. Slightly panicking, she quickly pressed a button and the elevator started to lift. 'Oh. My. God. That was way too close for comfort.'

The elevator continued to go up until it finally stopped, resting on the very top floor. 'Why the hell did it get so creepy all of a sudden?' The hallway she stepped out into was a bit too dark for her to not feel a bit scared. But as she stood there taking in the darkness, she heard a sound coming from next to her. The other elevator was coming up and she had nowhere to go, so she ran down the hall and entered a dark room through some large ornate doors. she quickly shut and locked them before moving further into the room.

She could hear the footsteps of the staff outside the door before they slowly disappeared. Guessing that they went back into the elevator, she let out a deep breath she didn't know she was holding. She finally stepped into the middle of the room and noticed that she was in a random room, she was in someone's house. 'Whoever owns this room must own the building, which also means they're at the party.' Alex let a small grin spread across her face as she slowly walked around the living area.

She took note of all the bookcases and the mini-kitchen it had, it was a really nice place but it seemed a bit...dead. As if no one actually lived there, no family photos, no self portraits, or anything. She walked over to a small shelf that held some red glowing candles and opened a top drawer, inside was nothing but papers and things unimportant to her. But as she closed it, the hairs on the back of her neck stood tall, something like hot breath caressed her skin and she spun around. 'What the actual fuck was that?' she thought as she looked around the room.

Nothing but dark emptiness was around her. She slowly took a few steps away from her spot and continued to look. 'Okay.. I'm just gonna leave, I think it's okay to go back downstairs to the party...' she thought as she took swift steps towards the doors she once came through. As she approached the exit, something that sounded like it fell made her jump and speed up.'Don't look back. Don't look back, oh fuck!' she chanted in her head. When she finally reached the doors, she unlocked them and pulled. But nothing happened.

'I swear to God, if this is stuck, I'm gonna cry!' she thought as she yanked with all she could, but the doors would budge a single inch. She quickly turned around to face the room but was met with something else, or rather someone.
