She picked whatever she'd found in her small drawer first, which happened to be light jean shorts, with a patch of a darker jean color, sewed on to cover up a hole from one and a half years before, when she'd fallen out of a tree after her older brother had lost his balance and accidentally pushed her.

To go with these memorable shorts, Rose threw on a black and white striped t-shirt, then sluggishly tucked the shirt into the pants. She quickly added her black converse, with white socks peaking out of her shoes.

Rose reached down under her bed, and pulled out one of the many boxes, which were mostly filled with miscellaneous items with good memories.

She emptied the contents into her arms, and slid the box back under the bed.

Corey, who was nervously pacing around Rose's living room, was more than relieved to see her approaching out of her bedroom.

"Where am I supposed to get changed? Who's clothes are they anyways?" Corey asked.

"Bathroom, of course." Rose replied, referring to where Corey should change.

He arrived out of the small bathroom shortly after, fully clothed in jeans, and a casual blue button-down hanging openly over his shoulders, displaying the white shirt he was wearing underneath.

"Who's clothes are these? Too big to be Wesley's, to young to be Greg's." Corey commented white smoothing out his shirt.

"I don't know, they were just here." Rose lied, not wanting to freak out Corey.

"You wanna start walking?" Corey asked.

Rose gave him a satisfactory nod, then continued down her street, with her upper arm brushing against him occasionally.

"I was surprised that you didn't seek revenge against Jenna. No offense, you just seem like the type." Corey said, trying to star a conversation.

"Not giving a fuck is better then revenge. It pisses people off, and when you ask why their mad, they can't say anything but it's because you're not feeding into them. I clearly failed with that at this situation, which means that my next option is revenge, thanks for reminding me." Rose smiled.

"That's an interesting outlook. You seem to be a pretty angry person." Corey commented.

"Jee Corey, you're such a therapist." Rose sarcastically commented.

"But yeah, I guess you're right about me being mad. But what can ya do? I mean, I try and get happy by thinking that some of the best moments of my life haven't happened yet, that's all. I haven't had many good moments in general, so I'd better have some pretty damn wonderful moments in store for me." Rose said quickly, not wanting to lower Corey's self-esteem with her previous comment.

"Do you ever feel drunk?" Rose asked before Corey could say anything.

Corey looked at her with lost of confusion.

"Well I don't know, I just feel drunk half the time. Sorry I'm rambling, we're almost at the movie theater." Rose said, earning a worried glance from Corey.

The sun was once again, far too bright. It beamed down in then as if they were the only two people in the world, so sweat began to accumulate on Rose's forehead.

"How long will it take to get there?" Rose complained.

"We'll be there very soon, you live pretty close to town." Corey responded.

"We could just steal some bikes, no harm in that." Rose shrugged, and now it was Corey's turn to profusely sweat.

"On our first date, you stole ice cream for us, and I'm still trying to get rid of the guilt." He informed, which caused a smooth laugh to escape Rose's lips.

"I wouldn't count that as a date, I was forced to go because of a bet, which you cheated on." Rose disagreed.

"Speaking of bets, I see the movie theater. If you can beat me there I'll pay. If I beat you, you pay." Rose said and bolted off to the theater before Corey could agree.

"Hey, that's not fair." Rose heard an exasperated Corey say as he gained speed.

They raced, and Corey almost beat her, but because of Rose's head start she won by about a foot.

"Looks like you've gotta fess up a few bucks." She informed.

"Alright, alright. But you cheated, so I don't see how this is fair." Corey complained.

"Sucks." Rose laughed, so that Corey could understand that this was her payback for him cheating on their previous bet.

They entered the cinema together, hand in hand.
