Cayden's P.O.V

I watch as my hand glides across the paper in front of me. Glancing up every few seconds, I draw everything exactly as it is. When I finish, I study the sketch. In the background, you can see a guy staring at his daughter and wife in admiration. In the front to the left, you see a bird feeding its babies high up in the tree. To the right, you see an old couple's loving smile as their grandson talks to them.
I've loved drawing since I was 6 when my dad bought me my first sketch book and pencils. At first I wasn't good at it. But a few years later, I was able to draw with every detail exactly as what I was seeing.
"Cayden!" My little brother, Kade, runs up to me. "Can we go get ice cream now!?"
"Yes. Let's go peanut." I laugh quietly. I'm not really a talker unless it's to my friends or family.
As we walk to the ice cream parlor, I can't help but think about what else was in the background of my sketch. Keith.

"Mommy! We're back!" Jade yells out in the foyer. My mom emerges from the kitchens and scoops Kade into her arms.
"I see that. How was your day babies?" My mom asks excitedly, glancing between Kade and I.
"It was great mommy! Cayden took me to the park and then we got ice cream!" Kade rambles on about what he did at the park while I continue thinking about my sketch.
"How was your day sweetie?" My mom looks at me happily. She's been making me take Kade out to the park and other place in hopes of me making a friend.
"It was good. I sketched the park." I say shortly, watching her face fall a bit at my short answer but then she smiles at me.
"Well that's good honey. Did you make any new friends?" She says expectantly. I shake my head with a blank face and walk past her to the stairs. I hear her sigh, "I'm just trying to help her."
Walking into my room, I shut and lock my door before clanging into a pair of running shorts and a tank top. Jumping into my bed, grabbing my laptop and my phone, I snuggle up to my stuffed bear that my dad gave me before he died. Turning Netflix on, I watch movie for a few hours.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I must've fell asleep cause when I wake up, its dark out. Glancing at my clock, I groan. 11:43. Knowing I won't be able to go back to sleep, I get up and head downstairs to the kitchen. I get me a glass of water and sit at the island.
"Why did you leave me dad?" I mumble to myself staring out of the window in front of me. Feeling my eyes tearing up, I look away from the window and stare at my glass of water.
Setting my glass in the sink, I walk back to my room. Sighing, I walk to the bathroom and open the mirror. The sleeping pills staring at me as if they were waiting for me. Snatching them off the shelf, I take 2 out and pop them in my mouth. Putting the bottle back, I close the mirror. When I glance at myself, emotions hit me like a wave. I look exactly like my dad.
Walking back to my room, I jump back into bed, and pull the covers up to my chin.
"I love you dad." I mumble out to the air as sleep takes over.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Slamming my hand on my alarm clock, I stare at the ceiling. New day in hell.
Groaning, I get up and walk to the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, I sigh knowing I'm probably gonna hate today like I do everyday.
After taking a shower, I walk to my closet to pick out what I'm wearing today. (Above)
Heading downstairs and into the kitchen, I see my mom and brother already at the table.
"Good morning sweetie!" My mom chirps. I nod at her and head to the cabinet, pulling out my 6 bottles of pills. Taking the right amount prescribed for each, I get a glass of water and down them all at once. Setting the glass in the sink I turn to my mom. "I'm leaving. Love you." Kissing her cheek, I walk to the front door and grab my keys and backpack.
Sighing, I open the front door and head to my car. It was my dad's old 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. When I was about 12, my dad fixed it and told me I could have it when I was old enough to drive and had my license. I got it when I turned 16 and I've kept it since.
