Within a few minutes, Uncle Remus fell asleep. I didn't blame him. He was exhausted after last night. He didn't even eat dinner, he was so tired.
Student after student peaked into the compartment, but decided to leave us alone. I assumed it was because Uncle Remus was in here, but I didn't mind. I kind of liked not having students in here.
Just as I thought that, Harry peaked into our compartment. Surprisingly, he, Ron, and Hermione decided to enter. I don't expect this especially with my father wanting to hunt Harry down.
"All the other compartments were full." Ron said.
"Oh." I said. They all looked at Uncle Remus.
"Is he the new DADA professor?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah." I said, looking back at him. His head leaned against the window as he curled up in his coat.
"Remus J. Lupin..." Ron said under his breath. I assumed he must have been reading Uncle Remus's briefcase. "That name is familiar..."
"Remember, Ron? He's my Uncle?" I ask.
"Right..." he trailed off.
For most of the trip, we talked about school and Quidditch. The trolly came by and Harry bought us all kinds of treats. We each thanked him and dug into the food. We all talked for a while and laughed at jokes.
"Hey, why aren't you with Fred and George?" Ron asked.
"I thought that it would be best for me to stay with my Uncle." I said.
"Is it hard?" Hermione asked.
"Hmm?" I hummed in confusion.
"With your dad escaping. Is it hard?" She asked. I looked down at my lap and started to fidget with a wrapper.
"I mean, yes, but probably not nearly as hard as it is for Harry." I said.
"It's ok, Y/N. I know it's not your fault." Harry said reassuringly. I look up and give him a weak smile. No one else will think that I thought.
After he spots out my smile, everything goes dark. The lights shut off and the train comes to a complete stop. This never happens. The whole train drains of heat to the point where I'm shivering.
"What's going on?" Harry asks.
"Hold on." I say, walking towards the compartment doors. I look out to see a bunch of students doing the same. Something was definitely wrong. I came back into the compartment, closed the door, then grabbed my wand.
"Y/N? Do you know what's happening?" Ron asked.
"Nope, but it can't be good." I said.
That's when what I remember to be a dementor slowly opened the door of our compartment. I could see all the bad memories flash before my eyes.
I was resting in the arms of my mother. Everything seemed blurry, but I could make things out. She was crying. She looked as though she hasn't ate in days. Sweat dropped down from her forehead, mixing with the tears. She was laying in bed, and seemed extremely sick.
I heard footsteps come into the room. They led right to Mum.
"Amanda..." A man's voice said.
"I'm not going to make it." She said with tears streaming down her face.
"No, Amanda, you're going to make it. You can't leave me. You can't leave us." The man said.
"Take Y/N." She said giving me a kiss on the forehead. The kiss was filled with sweat and tears. She whispered to me "I love you darling. I'm so, so sorry." Then passed me to the man. I saw his face. This was my father.
"Amanda please." He said tears streaming down his face.
"It's time." She said. "I love you both."
Mum's face drained of life, then father yelled in pain. The tears flowed faster down his face. He collapsed. He wouldn't dare look at her anymore. Mum just died.
His screams still ring in my ear as a I fall onto the ground. The world started to slow down, then everything went black.
