Your mind brought you to the beach as usual. The burning sand, the seagulls that screeched, and the blue salty water always made you feel at home. It wasn't always like this though. An earthquake shook California a few years ago and destroyed what you called home and took something irreplaceable from you. You wanted to forget about it, but every time you went to escape your dreamland mind it would always manifest and bring you to tears. You didn't know how to cope with it at first, so you did some bad things that ended up almost killing you. After that your Father became more worried about you, so he had you go to a consular to talk about it. You don't see the consular anymore because you feel you don't need them anymore. You found a way to almost completely forget about it and cope. It was by going to the beach. Everything about it made you happy. The noises distracted you from your thoughts and it was nice.

"Time for a swim. I'm starting to get hot." you said to yourself. You quickly leapt up out of the shade of your beach umbrella and bolted for the water, but no matter how fast you ran the sand placed fiery kisses on your feet. You yelped with each step you took, until you got to the water. The water greeted your feet with loving cool arms. You sighed in relief as the small waves hugged your feet. You ran deeper into the water dove in.

You swam for hours and you were tired of battling the waves. You returned back to the beach and ran up to the safe shade of your beach umbrella. The sand sung more this time as each foot hit the sand. Once you got yourself situated you reached over and opened your cooler for your (F/F). You didn't waste time eating it because you were so hungry from swimming. You shut the cooler and grabbed your (F/B) from the other side of the cooler and brushed off the sand with the back of your hand. You opened the book and started where you left off. You stopped reading after you were bored and noticed it was almost dark out. "Wow that was fast. I got here at five o'clock now what time is it?" you asked yourself. You got out your phone and checked the time. It was eight-thirty now. "I better pack up my stuff then." You grabbed your umbrella and folded it up and put in the trunk. Then you went back for the cooler and your book and thank god the sand was cool enough for a second trip. Once you got back to your car you just happened to glance over and spot the most magnificent car you've ever seen in your life. You set the cooler in the trunk and shut it. Then tossed the book into the open back window and ran to get a better look at the car. "Woah a 2010 Aston Martin One-77! It's my dream car! It's so shiny too. I envy the person that owns this car. They have all the money in the world to keep this car way the it is." You walked all around it admiring every inch. You figured it must have gotten a custom paint job because you've never seen any car that looks like this. "Leather interior. I'd love to own this car. A rare gem in the world of cars. The British payed lots for a car like you since there was only 77 ever made... well there's 76 now because someone wrecked one of the models in Hong Kong. What an unfortunate event." you said as you walked away from the red sports car.

An hour passed and you were getting bored and you were debating on wether to play some music or not. "It's only nine thirty. It'll be fine." you said to yourself. You hooked up your phone to the Bluetooth system in your car and began to play your (F/S). The music was loud and the bass of the song rattled through you and the car. You sang the lyrics out loud and retracted the hardtop. The song poured out of the speakers and into air. It echoed down at the shore and all around. "I hope it isn't to loud." you said after the song ended. You played more of your favorite songs even if they were inappropriate and you sang their lyrics. You were so consumed in singing that you didn't notice the guy getting out of the red sports car that you looked at an hour ago. You faintly heard two knocks on the side of your car. You turned down you music and looked over to find a guy with red hair, red eyes, sideburns, and a red gotee on his chin. "Hey could you turn your music down? I'm trying to talk to my friend." He said in an annoyed tone. "Oh I'm sorry! Didn't mean to..." You trailed off and started to notice more how he looked. You had become intrigued by him. From his red hair to his skin to tight shirt that displayed a four pack. His arms were a little muscular and had strange grey tattoos on them that went from his elbow to wrists. His skin was light almost a pale color. He was gorgeous and there was no looking away from him. You looked back at his face and it looked more annoyed. "Oh sorry I'm a bit spacey." You lied to him. "Yeah whatever just keep your music down." He said then walked away.

You sank down in your seat and felt embarrassed. You knew you had made a bad first impression. You messed up and wanted to apologize. Just as you were getting up your phone rang and you rushed to the front of your car to get it. You unhooked the phone from the Bluetooth and looked to see who was calling you. It was your father. "Ugh he's probably worried about me as usual." You say before tapping the answer button. "Hello?" You said. "Hi (Y/N) where are you at?" He said. "I'm at the beach parking lot listening to music." You said. "Oh ok. I didn't expect you to go that far without me." He said. "I'm nineteen dad. You should expect me to be out on my own sometimes." You said. "I know. Oh by the way I'm probably not going to be home when you get back if you're planning on coming home late tonight. I'm going to go play poker with the boys and I probably won't be home for the rest of the night depending on how much I drink." He said. "Ok dad. Don't vomit all over Sean's bathroom floor again." You said reminding him of what happened a few nights ago. "I won't this time." He said back in reply. "Love you sweetie." He said. "Love you too pops." You said. Then he hung up the phone before you could. You sighed and sat down your phone only for it to go off again. This time it was your friend. You were happy that she finally called you. "Hi bitch." You said. "Hey bitch what's up?" Said your friend. "Nothing much just chilling at the beach parking lot listening to music." You said. "Nice. You know there's a race tonight don't you?" She said. "No! How come you didn't tell me!" You said somewhat angered. "Well I didn't know either! The police have been nuts around town lately and I didn't know if they were still going to do it." She said. "Tell me the location! I'm definitely going to be there!" You said as you hoped out of the car to get in the driver's seat.

Little did (Y/N) know that the guy who came over to tell you to turn down your music was listening to your conversations. "Did I just hear your friend say that there was a race somewhere~?" Said the guy from earlier as he emerged from his car. "You were eavesdropping!" You shouted at him. "Hey calm down bass booster. I wasn't eavesdropping I was merely listening to your conversation." He said. Bass booster!? Really! He just called you bass booster! You gave him an angered look. "Who's talking to you besides me?" Your friend said. "Oh no one important," You said as you turned away from him. "Now about that race." The man was angered by hearing that he wasn't important and got back in his car. "Out near by the old drive in off of the old abandoned highway? At 1:00 AM. Jesus why so far?" You asked your friend. "I told you already the cops have been nuts around town lately. They think they can-" Suddenly the red Aston Martin quickly pulled out of its parking space. It's tires screeched on the concrete as it did a burn out right behind your car then pulled away leaving you in a cloud of smoke. It sped out of the parking lot and pulled right out in front of another car. The driver honked at the red sports car because the driver was forced to stop. The smell of burning rubber and the smoke intoxicated the air and made you cough and gag. "What the hell was that!?" Your friend said. "Just some jackass that thinks he's cool." You managed to say before having another short coughing spell. "Like I said they think they can stop us from doing what we like. Little do they know that they can't always keep people from doing what is dangerous. People like thrill and the occasional adrenaline rush and that's what street racing gives people. That's what makes it fun." Your friend said. "Yeah. They can't always keep us safe." You replied. "You still going to go despite the distance?" Your friend asked you. "Yeah I'm still going just need to go home and change and put my stuff away. Probably going to vacuum out my car because I got sand in it again." You said. "Don't be late! The line up is probably going to start at 12:57." Your friend said. "I won't be late. I'm always on time." You said as you opened the door to your car.

You hung up the phone and got in the drivers seat and put the keys into the ignition. You turned the keys and the engine roared to life... and so did the check engine light. "No! Come on girl I need you to get me home tonight! What's wrong?" You said to your car. You didn't expect an answer back because the car can't talk. "Please just let it be something not that expensive." You said. You backed out of the parking space and left the parking lot. Then you continued your journey back home and hoped that your dad didn't take the other good car.
