How does it feel like to love someone whom the world tells me I am not supposed to love?
Honestly, I don't give a single damn about those opinions.
However, I do know what it is like to love someone I cannot be with.
And well, both 'someone' in the situation so happened to be the same person.
"Ly? Ly! Are you okay?"
"Oh? O-oo naman! B-bakit?"
Sagot ko na sobrang lutang at imbes na ang iniisip ko ngayon eh yung game namin, my head was filled with him.
"Tara na! Labas na ng dugout at magwarm up na."
They are all hyped up, but I was just feeling all the way down to the pit. Because that 'someone' is going to be there. Watching our game.
We are up against UP. It's a Battle of Katipunan. The game went well and we were able to get the win. I had an off game though. I'm just thankful for my teammates for stepping up their game. Babawi na lang ako. I'm just out of focus today, and it's because of him.

Nandito kami ngayon sa Cainta because it's his birthday. Ayaw ko sana sumama but pinilit ako ng teammates ko and nakakahiya kay Tita Mozzy kasi ineexpect niya na pupunta ako. Kailangan ko na lang talaga labanan feelings ko. Bahala na.
"Tita! Hello po. Kamusta na po kayo?" Bati ko kay tita nung nakita ko siya. Nagbeso naman kami.
"Ly you came! Thank you ha. Di lang ako pinasaya mo." Hahaha. Grabe si Tita. Halatang halata na gusto niya kami na lang ni Kiefer. Ay sht no. LABANAN NGA ANG FEELINGS DIBA, LY?! Hay nako.
"Hahaha! Tita naman, alam mo naman na malakas ka sakin eh."
"Ako ba talaga?" Tanong niya.
"Hay nako, tita. Hahaha! May maitutulong po ba ako?" Pag-iiba ko nung topic
"Nako wag na Ly. Kami na bahala dito. Doon ka na sa mga teammates mo."
"Tita sige na. Let me help, please?"
"Ikaw talaga. Sige na sige na. Pakikuha yung chicken wings sa may kitchen."
"Okay tita."
Pumunta na ako sa may kitchen para kunin yung chicken wings and when I was facing the door that was shut.
My mind was telling me that I couldn't do this, I would just make things more awkward between us. HAY NAKO ALYSSA LABANAN NGA DIBA! Erase. Erase. Wag mo na siya isipin. FRIENDS LANG KAYO. FRIENDS. And being a good friend is attending his birthday party. Oo tama tama.
Just as I was contemplating and I am always like this when the decision is about him, the door came undone from inside.
I could almost hear my heart beat.
I held my breath and looked up.
"Oh."
And it so happened to be him.
