I heard the footsteps echo through the hallway. I shivered as a cold breeze slipped down my back. She musn't see me, if she does Im dead, and thats that. A shadow stretched down the dimmed floor. I saw the dark, inches from my feet and tucked them in farther. I held my breathe as she silently walked by. I jumped as she whispered
"Come out come out where ever you are!" She sung with her beautiful voice, so clear, so calm, so deadly
"Come out come out to play"
I held it longer, though my heart seemed to scream out my position.
Then it went silent, no noise, no steps, no voice. I slowly peered up. She was gone, for now at least. I knew she would come back, just when is what Im worried about. I struggled to take a breathe. Just breathing seemed to be a risk.
