It was a late afternoon in the Chanz kingdom. Elders had gone to bed, some preparing for dinner, most for their families, few for themselves. In the small home of the Sanchez's, this was no different. Autumn, the mother of three- well now only two after the eldest son had died last year during a rescue mission after one of the small wars. Nonetheless the mother caries out her duty to feed and care for her two remaining children. She didn't mind it one bit. Her soft brown hair droops down, invading her face, as she pours a finishing touch of broth into her daughter, Char's, favorite wooden bowl that her father had carved stars into so many years before. Autumn's ears lay limp to the sides of her petite, round face. She then sets her husbands meal in the oven to keep the heat in while he was out. He had left on an extra side job trip to receive extra payment to help pay off the rent they were behind in, again. Before, there son would support them and the father would take his time doing hobbies he would much rather pursue than working, but ever since he passed the family had been struggling quite a bit.

If they did not pay the payment before midnight they would be evicted from the kingdom. Even so the mother moved slowly, full of delicacy. She gently places a pair of chopsticks in her children's meals. Char was a less pickier eater than her brother Mercury for she got used to what was served in her home after she had become home schooled ever since an incident, a tragic one at that, had happened of someone from her school had taken pictures of her changing in her room. She doesn't talk much anymore either and had also become very obedient. Her brother on the other hand was very picky and very sure of himself. He would only accept a meal if it had an equal amount of vegetables, meat, and rice, plus any other item he had requested in that moment and in tonight's case he requested a sausage octopus. As if floating to a gentle melody the mother comes and sets down their meals, sitting down from them across the table she stares in awe at her beautiful creations.

Char, fashioned a short bob with her natural, milky, gingered hair hung frizzly from brushing her hair earlier that morning . She had white stained locks halfway through her hair, mocking the look an overflowing bubble bath would have. Her pale skin with small pods of freckles lay upon her cheeks and nose, a peppermint stung blush always remaining.  Like her mother, she had small ears but where the white and orange clashed, the white weeded through curls up to the tip of her permanently perked ears, more eager than Char herself. Char always had a distant, far away look. Her robin egg eyes flaring as wild as the excitement and relief a baby bird would have had taking flight for the first time, this look never changed even if she had been staring at the floor or even an empty plate.  A woolen yellow and lavender stripped sweater lay upon her shoulders just as she overlays a thin strapped, velvet, charcoal colored dress that hug just below her reddened knees. leading to her skin colored tights that stream down her legs and beneath her ruffled , white, ankle high, socks. And finally the shoes she could never get rid of, her mother not knowing that she got them in primary school yet they still remain on her feet whilst she is currently in high school. Char would never part with these shoes for it was what she wore the last day she had ever seen her brother.

Mercury was a more rugged boy, just a year younger than her sister. His serious expression not matching with his careless personality. He had a more redder shade of orange upon his scalp, short but plump curls on each end of his hair. One curl in particular hung from his forehead and covered part of his right eye. The only thing that seemed to keep this curl from his sight was if he used his sisters hair clips. It's safe to assume he puts up with the curl. His ears represented his fathers, as all males usually had larger ears. Mercury did indeed have more white tip than the orange on his ears as he was born with a slight deformity that is shown in his ears, and tail. But as if he was gifted with something for fate taking some away- he had the most magnificent purple eyes. They were a more magenta but the most vibrant kind you could think of. No one in the village had ever seen someone with such beautiful eyes. He had just a few freckles printed on the edge of his nose and right under his eyes, maybe a few sprinkled down his neck. For his clothing he wore a blood red with milky white polka-dotted covered banana that his brother had gifted to him for his tenth birthday. He never washes it or takes it off even though his mother lectures him about it weekly. He wears a loose short sleeve shirt that has a faded star in the center that was messily tucked into his cargo shorts. His knees were bruised from running around outside, causing trouble of course. He had thick white socks to help his over-sized shoes that he insists fit perfectly.
