Never in my mind, did I ever see myself in the foster care system. Sure, I lost my mom and had an abusive father but I didn't think anyone had noticed. I had kept pretty quiet all things considered. Apparently, not quite enough. I was in a white suburban going to a new home. It was supposed to be owned by some angry rich guy. I'm not sure but I heard something about it being full of "troubled kids."

We suddenly stop, and I look around to see where we are. There is a huge gate in front of us. The driver is talking to the person inside. That's when I saw it. The "house" might as well have been a castle. It looked 3-4 stories tall. Columns lined the front of the castle, along with rose bushes and Ivy swirling around them. We hear a buzz and the gate opens. When we pull up to the front of the castle and get out, we hear shouting from the right.

"Stupid ivy. Always coming back. How many times do I have to hack you and shout at you to go away?!" The man yelled curses and non-sense swinging a machete wildly at a column of ivy. I don't know why, I thought it looked amazing. This place was definitely full of crazy people.

"Why are you sending me here again?" I asked slightly concerned.

The woman I've come to know as Jill looked at me slightly puzzled. "Well, because your previous situation was so terrible you had to be taken somewhere else. This home is full of people just like you. They will help you to be better and feel like you belong." She then turned to the man and cleared her throat. "Excuse me, Mr. Fury. We are here with Clint Barton. You said you were expecting us?"

The man stood up. He had an air of I-know-I-could-kick your-butt-without-even-touching-you. It was hard to not look away and crumple into a ball. I refused though he didn't rule me. I was younger sure, and being carted away to this lunatic, but he didn't own me. This had to be a joke right?

I looked around I mean the grounds were well kept. This space seemed healthy. I could breathe. Then everything was lost when something hit me in my chest. Screaming came from inside. a toddler having a temper tantrum ran outside. A Girl about my age of 17, red hair bobbing, came running after him. "I told you Mr. Fury has company and to wait inside! Why do you have to be so difficult Bruce-y?"

The toddler just huffed and ran faster, though a smile pushed at the corners of his mouth. "Bruce-y! Come back here!" The Ginger yelled. A window up stairs flung open and a smug black haired boy popped his head out.

"Leave him alone he just wants to have a little fun, something you obviously have never heard of!" It may just be me but I swear I could heard the smug expression on his face.

Just looking around at these crazy people I knew I had had enough. I turned to Jill, " This is worse than where I was. Take. Me. Back. Now."
