A Cursed Child in a Paper Town

Author's note: You might have already noticed that the title of this poem is a combination of the titles of two wonderful books " Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" and "Paper Towns"! This poem contains 44 titles of novels, both modern and classic. However, that doesn't mean it's not meaningful for I've worked hard to convey a message between the lines (the poem is even related to the title!) Enjoy the meaning, rhythm, and the all-too-familiar titles for us bookworms!!

From the Breaking Dawns until Twilights

Our Great Expectations turn into Wuthering Heights

Fallen into a City of Fallen Angels, Heavenly Fire, and Lost Souls

We only take Eleven Minutes to search for the King of Torts

The Winner Stands Alone,

His Claws out and stretched for the throne

Waiting for The First Phone Call from Heaven

Thirteen Reasons Why instead of seven

The Choice we made is Fifty Shades Darker

And maybe we have to wait till The End of Time or After

To see the City rise from Ashes and Bones

It's on The Other Side of You

But the Eclipse has blinded you

You no longer realize The Fault in our Stars

And the Fifty Shades of Grey in our hearts

Before you Kill a Mockingbird,

See Me and the damage that you shared

You're no longer The King of the Castle

Things Fell Apart and it's The Last Battle

Look Back in Anger as I Lay Dying

At how The Way of the World is changing

Leave your Vanity Fair,

And Round the World in Eighty Days

You'll be Coming Up for Air

On the Twelfth Night in a haze.

Truth is Stranger than Fiction

And The Secret lies in our power addiction

Pride and Prejudice have overcome our sanity

And a Scarlet Letter will be ascribed to humanity.

Children of the New Forest,

We'll leave it for you to protest

Lift the Tale of Two Cities from the doom

And show us a brilliant New Moon.
