there was no use for their legs anymore. the raven boy who's hair matched the night sky decided it'd be better for him to lay down in the middle of the road, watching what was up above. there was nothing. the boy with the rosy mop on the top his head chuckled softly.
"what are you doing?" he asked inching closer to the boy who had lied down.
"my feet are kind of tired from all this walking. i thought i'd lay down." said the boy who faded into the dark pavement of the road.
the rosy boy joins down beside him.
"you'll ruin your suit dude." the raven boy says.
the rose boy scoffs, "my suit getting ruined is the last thing on my mind. i have other things to worry about— things like her."
the latter's eyebrows falter, "i know. i'm sorry."
the rose boy hums, "what can you do, you know?"
"yeah."
the raven boy speaks again, "you know tonight can't be all that bad."
"how do you know that?"
"well i mean, we still have so much time until the night ends, right?" said the raven.
"i guess so." replies the rose.
the raven boy rolls onto his side to face the rose boy and smiles. the other does the same.
"what are you planning?" asks the rose boy suspiciously.
the raven boy suddenly gets up and brushes himself off and extends his hand out for the latter, "take my hand and you'll see soon enough." he says, a playful grin spreading across his lips.
