Chapter One

Liana's POV

"Excuse me, you can't be in here." It was Noah's sister. Well one of his sisters. She had the same red hair like her younger sister and mother. She was Noah's twin. Obviously they were not identical. She was sitting in my office looking through the werewolves book. I snatched it out of her hands, closing it.

Noah's mother had been the alpha of another pack before it was attacked. They lost most of their pack members and went off the radar. They had just been a small group of wolves trying to survive. My pack gladly took them in. Especially since Noah was my mate and was supposed to be the next alpha it was just logic that our packs joined. We were fully mated.

"Well aren't you a little sassy. I was just looking at The Prophecy. I'm curious, do you ever think about the lost page?" I looked up at her my brows furrowed in confusion.

"Lost page?" She nodded and indicated to the book in my hands.

"Open it up to The Prophecy, the next page was torn out. Did you never notice that?" I shook my head feeling stupid. It was obvious since there was still remnants of the ripped page.

"What a shame. Anyways, there is a lost page. It continues The Prophecy. I thought you would know speaking that The Prophecy is about you and Noah." She must've noticed my shocked expression because she smirked.

"What did Noah not tell you? He must really be ashamed to have you as his mate if he didn't tell you." She faked a frown.

"Well I guess i'm done here." She walked out of my office leaving me alone with my thoughts. I walked over to my desk and sat down thinking to myself. Did Noah really not tell me? Did he not want me as a mate?

"Are you okay, I can tell your stressed. What's wrong?" I felt Noah's worry through his words and frowned. He took care of me, he said he loved me first, he has been waiting for me to be ready, of course he cared. What was I thinking he wants me as a mate, right?

"Liana?"

"Yeah, i'm fine just pack stuff. I'll see you tonight." I tried to fake enthusiasm in my voice through mindlink but probably failed as Noah came in a few minutes later.

"What are you doing here?" He smiled at me.

"Coming to see you. You know I can tell when your lying right? Your a horrible liar." I frowned as he came behind me and massaged my shoulders.

"Well, it's nothing so you can go back to work. You take care of me too much. You can't just drop everything to take care of me." He pulled out my chair and walked in front of me, leaning on my desk.

"Actually, I can drop everything to take care of you, because you are my mate. You are my first priority." he crouched down to my level and took my hand. My frown deepened.

"You put your family before me." I hadn't realized I had said out loud until Noah spoke again.

"I don't put my family before you. Liana why would you think that?" I shrugged and pulled my hand out of his grasp placing it on my lap.

"Maybe because your family treats me like shit. You never did anything about it either."

"That's not true my mother and Lily love you."

"Yeah but what about your dad and Sophia. They hate me." He chuckled at my statement.

"They don't hate you, Sophia is just messing with you." I stood up abruptly causing my chair to fall backwards.
