It is a special event, the 12th birthday a wolf. For at 12 years of age the wolf discovers the Phoenix that lives dormant beneath the skin.
Through a series of mental and athletic tests a Phoenix is born. The Phoenix connects itself to the wolf through loyalty, honor, and courage. The principles we abide and live by. And through the growth of these three principles the Phoenix gifts the owner with the ability to wield their magic.
It takes both ceremony and tasks to unlock the powerful Phoenix within for those born to the pack have an easier encounter with finding their Phoenix, as those who are welcomed in may partake in this ceremony as well.
Shamans or Alphas preform the sacred ceremony and on rare occasions one may be birthed with more than one element allotted them with more than one Phoenix.
