Maddy and Alicia were best friends for the past 3 years. They were insufferable! One was bullied, other would help. They chatted everyday on phone but never really hung out. One year Alicia was going on holiday and asked if Maddy would come. Of course Maddy said yes but realised that January 1st was going to be spent abroad. She was devastated but came along anyway.
