Wisp (Gemini x reader)

Chapter three

"What am I supposed to do now?" You asked yourself. "Might as well get a look around campus.." You put your hair into a ponytail with the band you always wear on your wrist, just in case.

Heading out the door, you see soldiers walking around in rows, like your average military. The only thing was they wore black and white camouflage, which wasn't usual, considering it didn't blend in with the surroundings like it should. Maybe the colors served for something else..

You began walking, looking around. Every once in a while, groups of men would shoot you a few glances. Not one cat call was given, but their looks that they exchanged each other said otherwise.

It made you feel uncomfortable, again, because you had no one to stick up for you when it was obvious what the men were thinking.

If only Gemini were here.

Your thoughts trailed off about him, probably bringing you to thoughts you shouldn't be thinking of. It all vanished when you heard a voice behind you and saw a shadow loom over you from behind.
"Hey." You quickly turned to face Shinigami.
"H-Hey.." You stammered. Of all the people to encounter at a moment like this, it had to be HIM.
"I figured Gem would have told you stay in the cabin, but I guess I was wrong.."

All you did was nod.
"I-I figured I'd have a look around.. M-Maybe meet some people.. Y'know.. Get to know everyone.." You look down a little, trying not to make eye contact. Then you felt and finger touch your cheek and trace it down to your chin.

Your eyes flicked up at him as you pull away. He grabbed your jaw as he observed your eyes.
"You're scared, worried.. Terrified.." He said.
"I am not.." Your lip quivers at the truth.
"You can't lie to me." He almost snapped it. You tried once more to pull away, but failed.
"L-Let go.. Please.." He smirked.
"I let go when I want to."

Tears burned in your eyes as you held them back. His grip on you was painful. At any moment, you felt that your jaw would snap.

"Shinigami, leave her be." Hearing his name, Shinigami glanced over at Gem. "I don't think your father would approve of this."

He rolled his eyes and let go of you. As soon as he walked away, you realized everyone's eyes were on you. Tears filled your eyes. Gemini sighed and grabbed the blue cape attached to his armor. He covered their view of you as you both walked back to the cabin.

You stepped inside and Gem closed the door.
"T-Thank you.." You stammered. He nodded.
"Women are fragile, it's a good man's job to defend them.." A short pause. "You should stay in here until I come back. For your safety."
"Okay.." He left again.

What were you to do for hours till he came back? Scanning the room, you found nothing interesting. Letting out a quiet sigh, the door opened again to your surprise.

You turned to it, someone walking in. You didn't recognize him. He was very tan with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
"Gemini thought I should keep you company." He wore armor like some of the people outside, but they all had  a different color cape, his was orange. "I'm Dante."
