Jho's POV

I'm at a coffee shop dito sa UPTC two days after that heart-to-heart talk with Beatriz.

Hindi rin niya narinig yung sinabi ko dahil sa malakas na pagbusina ng isang truck sa kabilang lane. Sobrang kainis.

I am currently reviewing for my finals sa aking masters and shux, sobrang kabado ko na ngayon. I know, it's 4 days away from now pero yung kaba, iba.

Limang oras na 'kong nandito and I'm still stu-dying at the moment. Beatriz calling...

"Where you at?"

"UPTC. Why?"

"Okay. I'm on my way there."

At agad niyang binaba ang call. Just with that, papunta na siya dito.

How can I even resist that girl?

I know she likes someone else aside from me—I am not sure though kung gusto pa ba niya ako or kung may iba na; just a bestfriend's instinct. Pero pakiramdam kong, may pinopormohan siyang iba o may pumopormang iba sa kanya. Sa lakas ba naman ng karisma no'n; mapa-babae o lalaki, willing pumorma sa isang Beatriz Paras.

We never reached a point wherein we talked about us going beyond the relationship we have. We are so focused in our careers—me sa aking masters and siya naman, sa pagtatakbo ng kanyang own clothing line. You know, she is such a fashionista and has a very unique taste with clothes.

Well, we still do talk about playing professional volleyball and what will we be 10 years from now but not really dig in about romantic relationships. Ewan ko ba; she doesn't open up about it and I don't as well.

"What are you thinking about?" a familiar voice asked. "Lalim, beh ah."

"Nandiyan ka na pala." Napakamot ako and chuckled a little bit. "Gutom ka ba? Bili ka muna."

"Nah, I'm good. Tapos ka na ba mag-aral?"

"Medyo tapos na ata." She chuckled and mouthed silly. "How was your day ba today?"

"All is good sa business naman. A lot came over because they knew I was there." I rolled my eyes at nanliit mga mata ko. "What?!" she innocently asked and raised her shoulders.

"Ang feeler mo!" tas tinapunan ko siya ng tissue.

"Pero I was bothered all day," she became serious bigla. "with what you said before."

Narinig ba niya?
