I see you standing there
In your palace of thoughts
I can hear what you're thinking
And they're not happy thoughts
You feelings of numbness
Shake me to my core
I can't take it anymore
There's got to more
More that I can do
I don't want you to be alone
I want you to look at me and smile without a single bad word in your mind
That won't happen though
A window between us helps me to watch on in fear
As my friend is going through shit he can't steer
I want to help but I know
That this is a battle you want to fight on your own
Just know
I'm watching through the window at the hurricane inside
But in my mind I know that you will make it out alive
And with a sigh I'll always try
To help you with those lies
Those lies that your mind speaks to you
Like poison running through your veins and to your heart
The ones that tell you that you aren't good enough
And won't ever be good enough
They're lies
THEY'RE ALL LIES
YOU ARE BETTER THAN GOOD
YOUR MIND IS PLAYING A CRUEL TRICK ON YOU
I'm staring at you through this window
Looking at someone who won't know
What the future may hold
But I know that as long as I know you
You won't go
