I can still remember that day clearly, the day I should have died.
The silly argument my parents had over breakfast, the scent of moms favorite perfume, the taste of burnt toast and cheap butter mixed together. It was just your usual everyday morning scene. All the good and the ugly mixed into one... But little did I know that the worst has yet to come.
Just around the corner 3 blocks away from our house, a truck came out of nowhere. I can still remember the helpless looks we all had or how on the last second my father backed the car just in time to save my life, dying in the process. Both of them, gone, while just seconds ago we were happily chatting our morning away.
It hurt me for eternity, until it just didn't.
