Your POV

Yawning, I sat up in bed, groggily rubbing my eyes as the awfully familiar shape of my vast bedroom started to form. Colours and lines flashed before me, as I recovered from yet another nightmare. I saw the oddly familiar silhouette of my house-elf, Celeste quickly walked into my bedroom and began tugging at my covers.

"Miss (L/N)? Miss (L/N), your parents are calling you down for dinner." She muttered stiffly.

I pretended to be asleep as I heard Celeste let out a sigh of pure frustration. I was being a brat, I knew it. But at that point, I honestly didn't care. But for some reason, she wasn't giving in.

"(Y/N). Downstairs. Your parents are threatening me again, I don't want any more punishment." she ordered.

Rolling my eyes, I slipped out from under the covers as Celeste allowed me the privacy to change clothes. Even in the privacy of my own house, I was still to be dressed appropriately at all times, meaning that I've never once stepped a foot outside my bedroom in pyjamas. Since it was summer, I pulled on a loose, light grey shirt with a silhouette of a palm tree on it, as well as some white jean shorts with a brown leather belt. As for accessories, I put on a silver bracelet, which had my initials carved into it, as well as some other symbols

I faltered down the stairs, breathing in the smell of freshly cooked pancakes. I grinned- I loved food.

As I sat down on the table, I saw an all-too-familiar letter from Hogwarts, but I took no notice. I have an older sister, Natalie (If Natalie is Y/N, feel free to change your sister's name to anything you want), who is a third year Gryffindor. She was one of the longest hatstalls in Hogwarts history, taking over 10 minutes for the Hat to decide on Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. I assumed it was her letter with all the requirements for the year. Natalie was going to Hogsmeade this year, and has been talking about it nonstop. My family and I have all honestly thought that I was a squib, so I simply let the magical world go.I sunk into the dining table. (L/N) Manor really was something worth boasting about. That is, once you see the exterior. Once you get inside, it really is worth saying something- it was so filthy that I bet that we are the worst pure blood family there is. That is my opinion, because my parents think very highly of our name, not to mention our house.

"There are letters for Miss Nata-" Celeste began, but was cut off by Natalie;

"My Hogwarts letter!" she exclaimed, snatching the letter from Celeste and poring over the new books she required.

"...and for Miss..(Y/N)." Celeste told me, saying my name slowly as though it was a disease he/she didn't want to catch, and then proceeding to gently pass me a yellowed envelope. One glance was all it took-

"My Hogwarts letter!" I squealed. My family had always thought I was a Squib, but now I proved them wrong!

"I think we can go to Diagon Alley tomorrow so that you girls are ready for September 1st, which is only...two weeks away! Gosh, they sent the letters late!" My mother said quickly, full of excitement because of my receiving of the cherished acceptance letter.

"Hang on, I want to read it," I giggled as I read my letter aloud,
