But he was a mystery. He just like Sirius was a womaniser. He enjoyed the attention he got from the opposite gender and many a times I unfortunately had to see him emerge from a broom closet with a random ravenclaw or hufflepuff girl.

His hazel eyes would widen at the sight of me and his hands would shake. His normal confident pose would change and he'd blush. A shy smile forming in his lips as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to his body that reeked of another girls perfume.

His deep voice echoing in my ears as he greeted with me his usual "Theres my babygirl".

Thus James Potter to me, was a mystery. He was my friend but I certainly didn't understand the way the boy worked or why he acted the way he did around me.

The other girls didn't get nicknames off of him. They didn't get cuddles on the common room couch after dinner or have their horoscope read to them by James who sat crossed legged on his bed holding a copy of a muggle magazine called 'seventeen'.

I can thank Lily for those. They were bloody brilliant.

They were simply James's friends. But if they didn't receive that and he still called them his friends. Then what was I?

"Fawny baby?" Remus called and grasped my hand with his own much larger one. My eyes snapping away from the window and to my hazel haired friend.

"Um- yeah Remmy?" I call quietly. The taller male chuckles and grasps my hand gently, ultimately pulling me up from the seat.

My cerulean eyes looked around the empty compartment and I cringed in embarrassment. Gosh how long had I been thinking about James?

"Oh shoot! I'm so sorry I spaced out!" I sighed to Remus as he opened the compartment door for me and led me out and into the hallway.

"It's groovy fawny" he chuckles with a shake of his head and gestures to the marauders compartment that was just ahead of us.

"Are you going to spend the last of the ride with us or the girls?" He asks curiously and stops next to me in the hallway.

His chestnut eyes staring at me intently and patiently waiting for my response so he could continue on his way back to the boys.

"No I'm gonna go back and sit with the girls. If you don't mind" I reply and tuck my hair behind my ear.

"Ok, I'll see you at the carriages or in the great hall" he chuckles and places a chaste kiss to my forehead before moving further down the hallway and walking into his compartment.

I smiled and glanced down at my feet. I was certainly blessed when it came to my friends. I couldn't have been happier with the people who were in my life.

I hummed as I passed the different compartments and to the girls. Occasionally smiling brightly and waving at someone familiar in the compartment I passed.

"Hiya pretties" I giggle as I slide open the door to the compartment and grin at the bright smiles the girls greeted me with.

"Where the fuck did you go?" Marlene pouts and grabs my hand pulling me over to her and back into my original seat.

"I was talking to the boys and then I had a prefect meeting" I laugh and tap away Marlene's hand that was still gripping mine tightly.
