The first time I met you,
It was through the pages of a book.
You made your way into my heart,
With just your passing look.

I thought you to be another fictional guy,
But I couldn't have been more wrong.
For as I read through the pages,
My heart is where you belong.

Falling for you was a slow process,
It happened layer by layer.
And when it was completely done,
I didn't know I was where.

I never thought I'd love some character,
More than some I already did.
But you came dashing into my world,
Claiming the love that was deep inside hid.

Every action of yours,
Made me fall for you a bit more.
With your every little move,
You made my heart soar.

Those words have a special place in my heart,
Which grant me your view.
Everything about you is dear to me,
Because that's what makes you, you.

I really want to ask you,
Do you have a twin?
Who shares your magnificent,
Lopsided grin.

I'll say there's no one better than you,
But I don't want to sound rude.
Yet even as I deny that,
Who am I kidding, dude?

I could try to list all your goodness,
But I think I'll fail to comply.
I feel I owe it to you nonetheless,
So it's always worth a try.

You were the guy who followed a girl home,
To make sure she's safe when she's there.
What baffles me is why you did this?
When she wasn't even yours to care.
And you did this all the while,
She wasn't in the slightest aware.

When that girl was at her lowest,
You wanted to hug her tight.
But you didn't give in to your desire,
For it wasn't in that moment right.

You waited patiently to make it halal,
So you can be rightfully together.
You walked into his store that day,
And asked for her hand from her father.

After Nikah you casted your first glance,
She was pleasantly surprised at that.
Because you had never looked at her,
Until she was yours to look at.

You gave her a marriage that was pleasing to her Lord,
So you both can walk together miles.
You held a lunch for the orphans,
And spread a hundred smiles.

While crossing roads with her,
At the divider you changed sides.
And my heart ran towards you,
In long, long strides.
