A baby sat in a crib, crying loudly. "I can't take it anymore!" A man yelled angrily, throwing his bottle at the floor. "Father-"

"No! That little shit is annoying me!"

The man was obviously drunk, and no matter how many times the baby's older brother tried to calm him down, it was no use. "I'm so done!" The man yelled. He then got out a lighter and lit it. "Father, what are you doing?" The older boy questioned. "Getting rid of it."

The man held the lighter down to the bottom of the crib, successfully lighting it on fire. The boy yelped in pain as he jumped over the crib and grabbed the baby girl. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" The boy ignored his father's question and ran out of the house.

"It's okay, Venus. We'll get you to a safe place," the boy stated. The baby continued to cry as she was put into an isolated escape pod, where she would remain still for another 9,984 years until she was found and raised by a human for 16 years.

"Ouch!"

I winced in pain as I had dropped my wrench on my foot. "Are you okay, Venus?" My younger brother, Ethan, asked. I turned around and smiled at him. "Yup. I just dropped my wrench on my foot," I told him. His smiled fell off of his face and he looked at the ground. "What's wrong?" I asked him, putting down the rest of my tools and bending down to look him in the eyes.

"It's gonna be sad when you leave. We're all gonna miss you," he said. I felt tears brim in my eyes as he leapt forward to hug me. "I'm gonna miss you guys too," I stated, hugging him tightly. I felt his tears dampen my shirt and I started to cry. "I need to do this," I muttered to myself. I let go of Ethan and stood up straight, watching ad the rest of my family stepped outside.

"I'm gonna miss you guys," I stated, smiling through my tears. My mother looked at me with a pained smile. "I'm going to miss you too, honey. But just remember, you need to do this. You need to find your true family," she told me. I nodded and started to sob more. She came up to me amd wrapped her slender arms around me. "Maybe you can visit some time."

I smiled at her positivity. "Hopefully." All of my siblings joined us in our hug and I smiled. "I love you guys," I said. I leant back and wiped my tears from my eyes, smiling brightly at everyone. "It's time for me to leave, I suppose," I stated. Everyone stepped back and waved at me as I stepped into my ship. I waved at them and sat in my seat as the doors closed. I turned my attention to the control panel and turned on my ship.

As I started my ship, I couldn't help but wonder if my family was still alive. I had nothing to remember them by, I don't even remember how we were all separated. All I know, is that I come from a planet called Altea.

I sighed and focused on directing my ship.

A giggle was suddenly heard and I jumped in surprised. "What the hell..?"

I turned around and saw a little body sitting in the corner of my ship. "Ethan? Why are you here?!" I exclaimed. He smiled at me. "I followed you!" He exclaimed happily. My eyes widened. "Ethan-!"

We were too far out now to bring him back home, so I had no choice but to bring him with me since my ship can only go so far. I sighed and turned around, paying attention to where I was going. "Mom is going to be so worried," I muttered, face palming. Ethan ran to sit next to me and I shook my head. "Venus, watch out!" Ethan screamed, holding onto my chair tightly. I looked to my left and saw what looked to be a missile coming towards me. I screamed and tried to guide my ship away from the missile, but failed.

A loud bang was heard and the feeling of falling rapidly started. I grabbed Ethan with one hand and tried to gain control of the ship with the other. "It's not working!" I yelled, pressing the buttons.

The ground was close and before we knew it, we had crashed. I let out a short scream as we hit the ground.

The ship slid for a second before coming to a complete stop. "Are you okay, Ethan?" I asked. Ethan was quiet from shock and I sighed, lifting him up onto my shoulders. I looked out the front of the ship amd saw that we were on the top of a building, and not the ground.

I got out of my seat and opened the door, stepping out slowly. My skin was damaged from the impact, and I had just realized that pieces of metal were engraved in my skin. I winced in pain.

"W-what are you?"

I stopped in my tracks and turned around, seeing three boys looking at us in shock.

"Were you abducting that boy?!" The big guy yelled, pointing at Ethan. "Huh? No! I'm just trying to go back home. This is my brother!" I explained quickly. "Sure!" The dark-skinned boy stated, watching me warily. My eyes widened. They didn't believe me!

"I believe her. She doesn't seem like the type to abduct," the smallest boy said. I sighed in relief. I set Ethan down and winced in pain. "You're hurt," the smallest boy said, coming to examine my wounds. "Y-yeah, I am. But that's not what matters right now. I need to get Ethan home and I need to fix my ship." I finished my sentence with a sigh as I looked over at my ship, which was beyond repair.

"It doesn't seem like we have time for that," the big guy stated shakily, pointing at a huge ship that was coming towards the ground quickly. Uh oh.
