You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone

Chapter 1

I sat in the waiting room, impatiently shaking my leg. I have an interview today and I'm so nervous. I mean I've had interviews before but I really want this job and I don't want to mess up my opportunity.
"Serenity Moon?" A female voice said as she approached me.
"Yes, that's me." I said as I stood up to shake her hand.
"Alright, follow me." She said as we walked to the back of the building.

We walked into her office and sat down at her desk. She asked me a series of questions about myself and my experience in dance. The interview was short and simple. She told me that she had one more interview today and if I qualified for the position she would call me and let me know. I shook her hand and thanked her. I got into my car and made my way home. Before I could even make in the house, my phone rang, it was an unknown number.
"Hello?" I said in a confused tone.
"Hello, may I speak with Serenity Moon?" A female voice said over the phone.
"This is she."
"Hi, this is Dianna from Expressions. I interviewed you about an hour ago."
"Oh yes, hi how are you?" I asked excitedly.
"I'm doing good. I was calling you to see if you were still interested in the teaching position?"
"Y-yes I am." I said trying to hold back my excitement.
"Okay well we would like to offer you the position. We would like to start paperwork as soon as possible, are you able to come in tomorrow around 1:30?"
"Yes I am!" I exclaimed
"Alrighty well I will see you tomorrow."
"Okay, thank you so much."
"No problem, have a nice day."
"Thank you, you too." I said before hanging up the phone. I shouted in excitement and hurried into the house.

I walked in and realized that my boyfriend had started dinner. I walked into the kitchen and greeted him with a kiss.
"Hey baby." He said as he kissed me back.
"Hello love, I have good news."
"And what is that?"
"I got the job!"
"That's good baby." He said as he hugged me tightly. We made small talk as he continued making dinner. I decided to take a shower before dinner and get cleaned up.

After showering, my best friend Desiré FaceTimed me. We talked for a while and decided that her and her boyfriend Maurice should come over. I got dressed and went to inform Alex that they were coming over. Life was going great for me. I finally have my dream job, I have a loving and caring boyfriend, great friends. Everything was falling in place for me, what more could I ask for?
