*Rose POV*

Blaze and I spent the rest of that day and the next doing nothing of importance. We laughed and talked and watched movies. Half the time I forgot he was a vampire.

I woke up on the morning of my third day there with my face pressed against something hard. I blinked and saw it was only Blaze, or rather, his chest. His eyes were open, telling me he was awake. "Morning." he said, "I didn't want to wake you."

I yawned hugely and said, "Mmm what time is it?"

"Eight." he said.

"Ahh that's way too early." I mumered. I buried my face in his chest again and closed my eyes.

"C'mon Rose, I'm bored." he complained.

"And I'm sleeping." I muttered.

I felt his hands go around my waist, holding me gently. He was always, always, gentle with me, I noticed. His thumbs made slow circles on the skin of my hip bone, sending jolts through me.

"What the heck are you doing?" I said, looking up at him.

He just smiled, his thumbs moving slower, taunting me. I had the sudden urge to jump on top of him. Stupid hormones, I thought sullenly.

"Stop it Blaze." I said, sitting up and moving out of his grasp somewhat reluctantly. "What're you doing anyways." I stretched, raising my arms above my head. I noticed my stomach hurt

"Waking you up." he said smugly.

I realized I was now sitting up, stretched and fully awake. I smacked his arm. "You suck." I said.

"Of course I suck, I'm a vampire." he said grinning.

"Ha ha very funny." I said dryly.

"Mmhm. I could 'suck' you right now if I wanted." he said, still grinning.

"Yeah. You could. In fact, why don't you?" I said seriously.

His grin fell flat. "What?" he said.

"You could drink from me occasionally, you know. I wouldn't mind. It's the same as a donor." I said logically. Plus, I was morbidly curious as to what it would feel like.

He stared at me, his face shocked and tense. "No. Not ever." he said, "Not only would it be wrong, if I couldn't stop..."

"You would stop." I said firmly. "And it wouldn't be wrong. Where do you think yor donor blood comes from?"

"Just drop it, ok?" he said, a pained expression on his face.

"Ok." I said softly. He obviously felt strongly about this.

*Blaze POV*

It was so, so tempting. Her blood smelled so sweet and fresh. Nothing like the cold blood from the donor bank. I could just imagine it.... but I would never, ever drink from her. She was tall, yes, but slim. Her bone structure as fragile as spun glass. Even if I didn't drink her dry, in the moment I could lose control, grip her too tightly for just a second and she'd be dead. Gone from me. The thought frightened me more than it should. I'd only known this girl for a short while, and already I couldn't imagine life without her.

"I'm kind of hungry," she said, "Do you think you could have breakfast sent up? I don't feel very good."

"What's wrong?" I asked, concerned.

"My stomach." she said, wincing.

I lightly pushed her down so she was laying. "I'll have it sent up. Do you think you'll need a doctor?" I asked worriedly.

She rolled her eyes. "I'm fine. It was probably somethig I ate." she said.

I nodded and went over to the intercom to have her breakfast sent up. I walked back over and sat down next to her. Breakfast arrived shortly, but she barely picked at the food. She'd eaten a total of two bites when she announced she was done.

"You need to eat more." I told her.

She wrinkled her nose adorably in protest. "No. It's weird...I'm not very hungry anymore" she said.

I smoothed her hair off her forehead and said, "I'm calling the doctor."

"No." she said, sitting up more, "I feel much better now. Just not hungry. Honestly."

"Fine." I said, watching her carefully as she stood up and walked to the closet. She did seem alright now. I was glad.

*Rose POV*

I honestly felt much better, so I went to the closet to get changed. I exchanged my nightgown for a light blue summer dress. Almost all the clothes in her were airy and flowy, I had noticed. There were no skinny jeans or old hoodies like I had at my old home.

I walked out and saw Blaze, sitting on the bed wearing black and blue swim trunks.

"How would you like to see our indoor pool?" he said.

"I love swimming!" I said excitedly, "I'll be right back."

I went into the closet and put on a plain blue bikini under my dress.

"Ready." I said.

"How about we go at my speed?" he said. He reached for me suddenly, lifting me and then everything rushed past me. I blinked and we were in a large, blue room with a huge built in pool.

"Sweet." I said. I pulled off my dress and dipped a foot into the water. "Oh, but it's freezing." I complained.

He rolled his eyes and lunged for me. "No!" I squealed as he sent us both toppling into the pool.

It was cold at first, but by the time my head broke the surface I was used to it. "You jerk!" I sputtered. He just laughed.

I reached out and dunked him, but it back fired on me when he grabbed my ankle and pulled me under too. We came up in the deep end, treading water. He looped an arm around my waist, holding me up. His vampire strength made it so he could easily hold us both up. I didn't even have to kick.

I couldn't help but notice how close we were. And he was so, so fit. He had a perfect eight pack and well defined chest. He wasn't overly muscular at all. He was just perfect. And right now I was almost pressed against those muscles. I felt my breath catch and I looked up and saw him watching me intently, a curious and almost longing look on his face. And slowly, slowly, his lips moved forward, brushing the edge of my jaw line. I shuddered and moved closer. His lips moved upwards, brushing along my jaw and sending tingles through my whole body. He held his lips a centimeter away from mine, and paused.

The door to the room suddenly burst open. "Woo-hoo! Cowabunga!" someone shouted and there was a huge splash, then Axel surfaced, grinning madly.

"Hey guys!" he said excitedly, "I didn't know anyone else was here. The more the merrier though, right?"

"Yeah." I said, faking a smile.

I couldn't help but wondor what would have happened I he hadn't come busting in. And I couldn't help desperately wishing he hadn't.
