Bitter chocolate

"I refuse." the lawyer said, her dark brown eyes looking at the accused with a strict expression on her round face. 

"Pardon?!" the man asked starring at the pretty young woman.

At first, he thought she was doing an internship or something, but no. 

She was a lawyer.

A strict one. 

"Bu-But Ma'am-" he stuttered trying to get the right words for this situation. He was speechless. Truly speechless. What should he do in a situation like this?

"I don't lie- I didn't do anything bad!"

"You were the last one who was seen with the stabbed one." she answered the fingers of her left hand trembling on the table. the young lady rested her chin, on the other hand, leaning against her chair and a slight grin appeared on her flawless face.

"I didn't kill him!" He shouted aggressively. he wanted to hit her. He wanted to hit her so bad. At least punching the smile out of her face!

The lawyer quickly stood up both hands on the table. "Prove it!" she yelled back already mad. "you can't tell me, you didn't kill him if you can't show it. these are facts! should I spell it out for you?"

The young male could see her appearance now. Short. 1.60 meters would fit. Her hair styled like a ponytail only a few messy strands of hair were falling down from the side of her tanned face. it remembered him of sweet liquid chocolate when their gazes meet each other for the first time. 

Now it remembered him of bitter chocolate. 

Bitter like her. 

Bitter like her heart.

"since you aren't able to answer me-" she moved on smirking like a devil.

A bittersweet devil.

"I'll prove it." he finally interrupted her giving her and himself an answer.

"I'll prove that I didn't kill my precious best friend." The young man said looking into her brown brown eyes.
