As soon as I saw his arm around her waist my heart felt like it was melting. I can't believe he was dating her yet flirting with me. When Drew came out if the room he saw my books scattered. He helped me pick them up and looked me straight in the eye. His eyes were like a crystal blue. It was almost as if you could see right through them.

He finally broke the silence after a minute or two of us just starring at each other, by asking me out in a date.

"Alex I know we just met but I think you are really cute and sweet. Will you go out on a date with me this Friday night?"

" umm.... Yeah. Sure... why not? It should be fun." I said feeling really happy but I didn't want to show it so I just played it cool. "This is my number" I say handing him a slip of paper after I get done writing in it. "Thanks. I will call you tonight. I want to hear your beautiful voice before I go to bed tonight." I knew right hen I was blushing. And with just my luck he pointed it out to me.

When I got home I knew I had to find something to where. But I didn't have anything. I saw that in my closet all I had was jeans and t-shirts. I waited for my dad to get home and asked him for some money to get a nice outfit for my date.
"Dad can I borrow money to get an outfit?"

"Sure what for?" He said it with a bit of curiosity but more annoyance.

"I got asked out on a date..."

"YOU WHAT??" He said with anger

"Dad I'm sorry I said yes. He wants to go out with me. Please"

"NO" he said charging towards me getting ready to hit me.

I run upstairs and cry out of the one eye that I could. I looked in the mirror and my left eye was swollen shut.
