Non-existent heartbeat

Chapter One

I got my first glimpse of Red Bell as the car stopped right in front of the mansion.I pushed open the front door and stepped into the white-carpeted, blue hallway.Dad refused to let us waste money trying to change anything cause we never stayed one place for long enough.Because of it I'd never thought anywhere as my home.

The mansion was as simple as usual, but for the fact that this time it was beautiful and spacious.

Since everything has been settled by mom and dad and the rest of the hunters,there was nothing left to carry up to the bedroom.Mom had shown the direction to my room,so without a second hesitation I went in search of my room.

"Ana" I heard a voice behind my back.I turned and looked at Luke who was looking at me with a frown look.

"Umm...Luke?".I shrugged.

"That's my bedroom".Luke said with a grin.

"Oh,I'm sorry,I thought it was mine".I said with a chuckle.

"Do you mind If I show yours?"

"Sure".I said with a grin.

Luke was everything for me.He wasn't related with me by blood,but we were more like a brother and sister.

I was the one and only child that my mom and dad got,but they got divorced soon after I was one year old. But they rarely talk.

Luke has gone to his room after showing mine.I got hesitated to open the door.I don't really know why but I couldn't find myself to turn the doorknob.When I opened it,I was surprisingly amazed.I've never got a bedroom like this in my life.The room was painted in some shade of grey and the room furniture was amazingly beautiful.And to my surprise there was a bay window seat.

Just what the hell was roaming around in my old geezers head?!.He'd never appreciated for these modern beautiful things and,today?! I really don't know what's exactly going on in his master mind.

I stayed there for hours,and thought of going outside for a run.I changed into my vampire hunting kit-,a long sleeved black vest with black leggings and a black sneakers.

I went downstairs in search of my mom,Ashley who was now actually making dinner for us in the kitchen.

"Mom, I'm going out for a run.I'll be back before you guys go for hunting"

"Don't worry Ana,you can go and live your life the way you want."

I thought of saying that,I wanna live my life as a normal girl would live in this age.But I stopped myself before, I would regret it later.

I was listening to the music when I was running,and hadn't bothered to open my eyes. And it was too late to open my eyes.I bump into something.

"Ouch"

I heard a voice and I opened my eyes.A girl was laying on the ground with some scratches on her hand.

"Oh,I'm really very sorry."

I went closer to the girl who was on the ground and gave a hand to help her stand.

"No,it's okay"she took my hand.

"Do you wanna go and consult a doc?" I asked her.

"No,it's really okay. It doesn't hurts now.It was my mistake I should have looked front while working."she said.

"Oh."I said with a concern look.

"Jeez.You are seriously terrified."the girl said.

"I'm really sorry.....Umm..-"

"Izabelle"she said.

"Oh,I'm sorry Izabelle"

"What's your name gurrl?"said Izabelle with a teasing look.

"I'm Anastasia" I said with a smile.

"Friends?"She gave me her hand,in order to shake hands.

I was shocked of her kindness.I got her hurt a minute ago and now she's here asking me to be her friend.I'd never got a chance to make friends with anyone because mom and dad had never stayed one single place for long enough.Luke is a  friend of mine but I consider him as family.My mom and dad have made rules for not making friends.

I thought of my parents and shaked hands with her.

"Friends" I said.

I mean,what's the big deal of just breaking one rule of thousand.And anyway they won't even find out about this relationship.

We exchanged numbers and set in a bench to talk about ourselves.Izabelle made plannings for tomorrow and we finally went home.

I was finally so excited to get a friend in my life for the first time ever.
