I am a Shadow
I hear their voices and try to speak
But my voice is put off and ignored
I call for aid and plead for help
But still my voice isn’t heard
I yell and scream to get their notice
But still all I get is nothingness

I stand to get something
But am pushed away
I cook to show that I care
But am dismissed
I clean and wait to be praised
But am disregarded

But seek out light
I strive for recognition
But only get overlooked
I search for acceptance
