Ignatius' PoV

Stretching as I walk down stairs, my eyes fall on my family, my brother and sister arguing over who gets to train with my dad today, my mums eyes fall on me and she smiles warmly, looking down i scratch the side of my face nervously as I retreat back to my room.

out of my family, I'm the only one people consider ordinary, well at least that's what I'd be called In our world, in my world, people were all sorts of different things, werewolves, elves, dwarves, banshee's, you name it but me? I'm but a simple human living with a household of fairies and elves, even my older brother was a elf.

"Ignat! Get ready for school!" I hear my Dad shout, wincing I let my head hit the wall.

I hated school, you'd expect that cause we live in a world full of different creatures we wouldn't have school, but we do, and it's full of judgemental warrior wannabe's who show off their strength during random times of the day.

I forgot to formally introduce myself, I'm Ignatius Alban, son of Fleur and Cedrick Alban, I'm a ordinary seventeen year old human in a world full of unique species. I live in The capital Land of Jupin, Bartroz, and I turn eighteen tomorrow.
Now back to the storyline.

Walking next to my brother and sister as we approach the school, the two speed ahead obviously so they aren't seen walking with me, immediately earning looks from the students, even those younger than myself, I look down, trying to avoid their glares and pitiful mumbles, my scarlet eyes stinging at the feeling of being singled out.

Taking my place in the back of the classroom as the teacher begins teaching students the ancient history of our world, I sketch in my book casually, drawing a dragon absentmindedly, I snap back to reality as the teacher calls my name "Mr Alban." She says sternly, staring at her she points to the question as a few students snigger 'Where did the term Elf come from?'  Furrowing my brows I clench my jaw "the term comes from the human species, german and often meant 'white being' because of the elves pale appearance" I reply, the teacher staring at me for a moment before turning and returning to what she was doing, exhaling heavily I slouch in my wooden chair.

Walking out of the dreadful school of my hometown, my hands tucked into my pockets casually as I walk down the path towards my home, different species talking amongst themselves and enjoying their time, showing off all their unique abilities to each other "hey freak show!" Looking over my shoulder at a tall brown haired male he brushes his hand through hair as he approaches me with another smaller brown haired male and a small black haired girl, two blonde girls and a green haired girl following behind "How's the ordinary life? You know, Ignormal, I pity you an incredible amount." He says sternly,  clenching my jaw as I walk up onto my home porch "Leave me alone Luke" I mumble , hearing him scoff he turns and walks away "whatever Normie" he snarls.

Scratching my jaw as I wake up, my parents barge in my room abruptly "get up birthday boy, we're going to the festival!" They chime, sighing I stand "do I have to..?" I ask uneasily, watching them nod as they exit I grab my jacket following them out, Aston and Nora nudge me "Glad you could come not so little bro" Aston chirps, smiling slightly I nod.

Walking around the festival I stretch slightly, feeling a shiver run down my spine as Luke and his friends appear, he walks up to me and grabs my collar "hey Freak, heard it's your birthday." He clicks his tongue against the roof of his mouth, his friends snicker "how about a few birthday beating, I'm sure a normie can take me on." He grins as he goes to punch me, a ball of rage explodes in my chest and scales form under my eyes, flames and lightning engulf my body, horns form, claws emerge and fangs sprout from my gums "What the...-!" Luke shouts as he drops me "a dragon!" Someone random shouts, looking up as my parents sprint towards me they raise their hands "Ignatius..." my father, Cedrick, says uneasily as my mum approaches me cautiously "All they do is call me a freak!" I shout, anger boiling through my veins "he's a dragon..." someone whispers, looking to the side I growl "Ignatius, please calm down..." my mother, fleur, says gently, clenching my jaw I look around at everyone's shocked faces, a ogre even staring in shock "Please..." my dad says, feeling the flames and lightning disappear, my scales still prominent, my fangs still out, my eyes glowing bright yellow "I knew you wasn't ordinary..." my father whispers, staring at him I look down.

Sitting at the dinner table, I look down at the wooden bowl full of soup, my family sit there silent, not knowing what to say to me I put the cutlery down "Can we just eat." I say sternly, watching my father and mother cover their mouth, Aston looks at me in shock "Ignatius." Nora snaps, clenching my jaw I shoot a glare at her "we don't know how... Aston is an elf like your father and Nora your a fairy like me..." my mother whispers, looking down at my hands I swallow a lump in my throat "At least I'm not ordinary. What a great birthday present." I growl, standing I walk out of the house.

Sitting on a wooden log in a forest I look down at my hands as scales form again, claws emerge form the tips of my fingers, hearing something my head shoots up as a small black haired male peers behind a tree "come out." I say sternly, watching the small Male come out from behind the tree "What do you want." I mumble, watching him wave nervously he steps forward "I'm Sorry.. I just.. saw you earlier at the festival.." he states, groaning I sit back slightly "let me guess, you want to talk about my species?" I ask, watching him stand there confused I arch an eyebrow "no, I just saw you looked sad..." he replies, staring at him I furrow my brows "so, I turned into a dragon, the most rarest species to ever exist, and you are worried cause I looked sad?" I ask standing, watching him smile he nods "Species don't define who we are, no matter if your a dragon or a normal human being" he says, staring at him with my jaw open I feel my heart rate increase "So, what was wrong?" He asks before he walks over to me I sit back down as he sits beside me "You know, going out of control in front of dozens of people on your birthday really isn't the best thing" I laugh, watching him gasp he looks at me "it's your birthday! No one should have to feel that way!" He says, shrugging I look down "I'm use to it" I respond, watching him sigh he shakes his head "you shouldn't be, birthdays are meant to be fun" he replies "hey! Jared, come on let's go home I'm tired!" Looking up at a ginger haired male who's just appeared "oh sorry Elliot, it was nice meeting you...?" He trails on as I stand "Ignatius, and you too Jared" I respond, the ginger Male giving me his name, he runs to the ginger haired male, who grabs the smaller ones hand tightly, I watch as Jared looks back at me before disappearing into the woods.
