Introduced to Joy

You were a newcomer to Wellington Wells and obviously you had no idea what to expect or where anything was, but any place would be better that the last wretched place you were unfortunately living. The awful memories flooded your head and was like storm that simply wouldn't pass however, you wouldn't let that ruin your new fresh start in the simplest, most jolliest village. You took a deep breath and began walking into the welcoming village.

Everyone looked at you strangely and you started to feel an unwanted cloak of uncomfortableness engulf you. Before you managed to ask why, a very tall and intimidating bobby walked up to you. You had always had a gentle personality so you didn't like fights or intimidation. The fear in your chest made your heart begin to pick up speed and your breathing pace became irregular. You began to shake uncontrollably, your eyes wide with fear. "NO!....NO PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" You pleaded in fear. The bobby knew you were off your joy, but normally he would have to pin downers like you against the wall, reducing the violence they would strike him with, but he could only look at you confused. You were so gentle and never even thought of running off or being violent towards him. He was about to rage with his terrifying furious voice....but you looked so mortified and fragile, and so he made sure he softened his tone. "Miss, I don't think you're on your joy, are you?" He softly spoke. Your adrenaline calmed down with the sound of his gentle voice. You felt much more comfortable now that you knew he wasn't a threat. "If you don't mind me asking, what is Joy?" He looked back at you shocked. "Oh my....you must be new!" He chuckled. Now all of the citizens were crowding round, each with their welcoming smiles aimed at you

The bobby pulls out a pink shiny pill from his pocket. It was out of his own personal storage, but he didn't mind giving one to you. He offers it to you and you take it from his gloved hand and place it in yours. The pill is soft and smells like chocolate. You place it in your mouth. It tastes wonderful! It's sweet taste makes it taste just like delicious chocolate. You swallow it after having in your mouth for a few seconds. To your surprise, the colours around you brighten and everything seemed much more happier. The citizens then wave you goodbye happily as they continue their daily routines. The bobby then bows his head to you and walks off "See you around" he smiles before continuing his whistling as he patrols the streets. You smile to yourself and happily walk in your new homes direction.
