Los Angeles, California
Music was playing loudly throughout the speakers in a house. A woman stood off to the side alone. She stood there, watching everyone as they interact with one another. Parties were never her thing, but she was here to support her brother, Joel Wittmann. Joel Wittmann was a musician, and his band, Lithium, become signed about a year ago with Atlantic Records. His group was starting to become more recognizable within the music industry. Tonight, he was celebrating how many records his band had sold with their first album. She was not surprised to see how many people were here to celebrate with her brother. He had a personality that made everyone want to be his friend.
Sighing softly to herself, she started making her way over to the hallway of her brother's home that he shared with his girlfriend, Angie. She was over the party and standing by herself. She wanted to head back to her room that she was currently staying in and not have to feel so nervous about being in a large crowd. As she was about to turn the corner, she ran right into something hard and heard a splashing sound. She felt her shirt become wet. At that moment, she was lucky she chose to wear a darker colored shirt.
Letting out a loud gasp, due to the cold sensation, she looked down at her top, "I am so sorry" was all she could let out as she backed up.
"No, no. It's my fault. I should have been looking to where I was going. Are you okay?" the person asked her. It was a male's voice. A voice that she would not have recognized because it sounded completely different compared to it recorded.
"Yeah, I am okay." She slowly looked up from her shirt and finally saw who she ran into. The person was Mike Shinoda.
"Can I get you anything to dry off? I am so sorry," he asked her as he kept apologizing. He felt terrible that it was his beer spilled onto the woman he ran into.
She noticed the look of concern that swept across his face.
"No, I am okay. Nothing a good wash can't fix," she spoke, giving a small smile hoping that the concerned look on his face would disappear.
"It doesn't need to be dry cleaned, does it? Because I will pay for it to be cleaned."
At this point, she was trying to fight a slight smile at how concerned he was over this accident, "No. Seriously, it's okay. I'll just go change." She was about to walk away but stopped and looked back at him, "Hope I'll see you around."
She walked out of the room and down the hall. Stopping at the first door on her right, she stepped into the restroom in her brother's home. Closing the door, she looked down at her wet shirt, "Are you fucking kidding me?"
She wasn't saying that because she just got beer spilled on her but that she just bumped into a person who was from her favorite band, Linkin Park. How did her brother become acquaintance with Mike?

Once all cleaned up and a new shirt on, she made her way back into the party. She couldn't put her finger on why she wanted to go back to the party when she originally wanted to go back to her guest room. Could it have to do something with the person she ran into before having to change? She shook her head, she couldn't think like that. He was married after all. Or at least she thought since his wife, Anna, hadn't been posted with him for a while.
As she reached the end of the hallway, she stopped. Mike stood at the end of the hallway that led back out into the party. He was leaning against the wall with a beer in his hand. Whether it was the same one that had spilled between them, she was not sure. She swallowed the sudden lump she felt and moved closer to him.
