Down The Line

Chapter 1

The place was quiet. Not a single sound of a soul can be heard and silence is taking over the place. Ang tanging marinig lang ang mga yapak ng isang lalaki na papunta sa labas ng paaralan. Out of the main school premises. Alam niya sa mga oras na ito dapat ay nakahiga na sya, sleeping like a baby. But with his conscience, he couldn't.

Alam niyang mali ang ginawa niya and maybe his brain was too occupied to even notice her suffering.

He could've stopped pero hindi niya nagawa. He just wanted to see what she can do. Gusto niya makita kung sino ba talaga ang kinakalaban niya and it looks like his expectations were right.

Though he knows she will never catch up with him but he was impressed of what she was capable of doing.

It was his first time go join such a public training. He usually trains with sir Leo- ang kinuha ng parents niya para magtrain sa kanya- so even Luke knows what kind of a well trained elementer he is, may it be by ability or by physical strength.

Ginawa lang naman iyon dahil bigla na lang siyang inabot sa kuryosidad. Kuryosidad na hindi niya alam kayang gumawa ng hamak.

He took a deep breath as he continues to walk towards the forest. He didn't mind the night watchers dahil he's free to roam around the school whenever he likes it.

Darkness took over his vision because of the tall trees covering the moon's light. After a few steps, another deep breath was processed in the sight of a waterfalls supported by a lake below.

An image of the moon invaded the waters, shimmering. The sight still amazes him kahit ilang beses na sya nakapunta dito. This is his comfort spot and forever will be.

Pumupunta sya dito whenever something is bothering him. And with the place being quite, he can easily think straight.

Alam niya silang lima lang ang may alam sa lugar na ito, but it seems like he owns the place dahil sya lang naman palagi ang pumupunta dito.Well, on the other hand, students are never allowed to go out the main gate unless there is permission to do so. The five of them are exclusive to that situation. They can do whatever they want. Pero, they put limitations to their freedom. It was their wanting to let it be that way.

The five of them wanted to be normal but it seems, society isn't making them at all.

Pero, wala naman silang magawa. They are sons and daughters of the Last Lead so they have no other choice but to live with it. Even if they want to stay in low profile, people will eventually notice them. Especially him, dahil kuha na kuha niya ang mukha ng kanyang ama. He's obviously the photo copy of Casper Dragneel, one of the archetype, with his brother. And his sister, who got most of the features from his mom, Noreen Victoria Dragneel. And his brother, he's in the lining with his dad, as if he were a photocopy of him as well.

Everything has its place. And he can't do anything about it now, can he?

Luna Eldwinster

"Palagi ka nalang ba magbabasa dyan anak?" Luna Eldwinster looks at her mom standing by their mini library door sa bahay nila giving her a smile in addition.

"Ma, you know me naman." She said all sweetly and closed the five inch book she was reading.

"I know, but your cousins are here. Aren't you going to greet them?" Her mother asks gesturing her head out of the door.

"Five minutes, I'll be down." Her mom let's out a sigh. Alam ng mama niya na kahit anong pilit ang gawin sa anak ay hindi ito susunod agad. Specially when books are involved.

"Five minutes." She repeated.

It wasn't at exact five minutes when she went down. Actually it was way past the time her mother gave but she just shrugged it off. Her mother knows her too much to go back upstairs and call her again.

Bumungad sa kanya ang kanyang mga pinsan. She looks at them with a grin and with no second thoughts she runsn to Drin and hugs him tight.

"I miss you." She said in a whisper.

"I miss you too." He said and chuckles.

Napaisipan niya na hindi na makita ang pinsan pero ito siya ngayon, nakayakap sa kanya. He's like, the only cousin she has that understands her. Everything weird about her and she loves him for that a lot.

"I'm glad you're back from France." Sabi niya hugging him again. Ang saya niya sa mga oras na to. She would even cry if her eyes will let her but nah, a tear from her eye isn't that easy to be released. They stayed at France for a very long time, it has been years.

"I'm glad you still remember me." He gave out a laugh and she just rolled her eyes at him.

"We better head out to the kitchen. Your mom's cooking Adobo."

"My favorite!" Luna says all excited at pumasok sa kitchen. But before she could, she greeted her other cousins. Maybe except for one.

She knew malaki parin ang galit sa kanya nito and she would just shrug it off. Ayaw niya paring maniwala na ganon lang kadali para sa pinsan na magalit sa kanya ng ganyan. Nalilito nga sya kung ano ang ginawa niya para biglang magalit ito sa kanya. She tried to talk to her before pero ginawa niya lang itong sungitan so after, she didn't mind it nalang until bumalik sila ng France.

She took one piece of strawberry and dipped it with melted chocolate at kinain ito. She watches her other cousins, talking to each other. She loves this kind of get together, especially dahil completo sila ngayon. walang kulang sa kanila.

"Wait, saan si kuya Mac?" The thought came to a stop. No, they weren't complete after all. His brother was too busy to even show up at this kind of celebration, making her feel melancholy.

"Council." She says quickly before her mother could. A bit of her suddenly feels so incomplete. She doesn't know but everytime they open up this kind of talk, nawawalan sya ng gana na gumawa ng kung ano.

Her brother always takes his responsibilities in the council seriously after their dad, making them to expect her to do the same. Alam niya wala ng panahon ang kuya nya sa ganito and she hated that a lot. Palaging missing in action ito knowing hindi naman ganito palagi ang okasyon.

Alam nya busy na talaga ang kuya but she just couldn't help but feel disappointment. After all, this means a lot to her.

Drin shifted his gaze to her. Alam niyang wala sa mood si Luna so he coughs at the conversation.

"Who says I couldn't make it?" She raised her head and faced it to the kitchen door kung saan nakatayo ang kuya Mac niya smiling at them. If her.eyes would just let her, she could've cried by now. But, it's no longer needed, she was filled with happiness.
