The Last Bell

"I don't want the school year to end, Victoria...high school's gonna be fucken hard...I already know it...." I said as my best friend signed my yearbook.

"Why are you so worried?"

"I'm a fucken introverted weirdo...it's gonna be hard for me to make any friends..."

"Hey, you have me. I'll always be by your side no matter what happens."

But what if I run into HER? I wanted to ask. I started to think about how high school was gonna go as Victoria finished signing my yearbook.

"Stop thinking about it!." said Victoria, she was my best friend, of course she knew what I was thinking....at least she did this time.

*Ding*

The last bell finally rang. This school year was over...now onto a boring summer.

I ate as soon as I got home because why the hell not? As I started to watch my favorite show, Supernatural, I heard my phone go off. It was a message from Ramona that read CALL ME ASAP. I called her.

"Hey...is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm just bored."

"You asshole! I thought something bad happened!"

"Sorry...I just wanted to see if you were doing anything tonight."

"I'm never doing anything. What do ya need?"

"First of all that's not true. You're always busy with school. Second, I just wanted to know if you wanted to come hang out tonight. We could watch horror movies, except Annabelle...I hate that movie"

"I'm sorry that I'm very focused on my academic performance. And of course I wanna hang out with you. What time do you want me to be there?"

"I know. And like maybe 7 o'clock ish?"

"Really? Why so late?"

"Would you rather watch horror movies while the sun's still out? We can if you want but I think it'd be better if we start whenever it gets dark."

"You have a point. I'll be there at like 7:15."

"Ok, see you later Aleeeeeeex."

"Byyyeee Ramooooonaaa."

Ugh...now I have to go out. At least I'll be with Ramona and not at home doing nothing. I thought to myself.
