We have gotten little responses from the kid. He still hasn't told us his name and only answering yes or no questions.
He started freaking out when Helen came back and taped his eyebrow where he was bleeding before. And then she got a wet wash cloth and started wiping him off so she could really see the damage and that gave the kid a panic attack.
I spent hours in the room trying to calm him down and he passed out afterwards.
She walked back in with a worried look on her face but didnt say anything. She finished cleaning him up.
"Tony i need to talk to you" she said.
I look worriedly at the kid and then nod and we leave the little room.

"THEY WHAT" I yell.
She nodded.
"I know my same reaction" she said.
i feel my blood boiling.
"How do they even do that to a kid i mean-" I start to say but I stop not knowing what to say really.

"That kid is going to need a lot of work to be able to leave that room let alone trust anybody." She said.
I nod.
"I just thought you should know." she said.
I nod again.
"Thank you." I say And then walk back to the room.

The kid was sitting in the corner breathing hard.
After I calmed him down he didn't pass out this time.

"why were you freaking out?" I ask.
I didn't expect him to answer.
"alone." I heard a quiet voice say.
I look down at him and he had a distant look in his eyes.
"you don't like being alone?" I ask
He quickly shook his head no.
"scary." He said.
I nod.
"Yeah I don't like being alone either." I say.

He looked up at me with his big brown eyes.
I smile at him.
He looked away though.

A couple weeks have gone by and I haven't left the room.
The kid finally told me his name which is Peter.

He is still cautious around everyone even me but he seems to be warming up.

Just then I heard a crash outside of the room and Peter flinched really hard and pulled in on himself.
I quickly stand up and hold up my finger towards him to signal one minute so he knows I'm coming back.

I open the door and don't see anything out of the ordinary.
I close the door behind me and I walk to where the crash came from and I see that Helen had dropped a tray of supplies.
I let a breath out.
I bend down and help her.
"Thank you I'm sorry I'm just a little off my game today." She said.
"Is everything okay?" I ask.
"Oh yeah I just didn't sleep last night because I was working on something." She said while breathlessly laughing.
I nod and after everything was picked up I got up and walked back to the room and open the door.

Peter was sitting in the corner.
I bend down in front of him and he was gripping the back of his head.
"Hey it's okay your okay I'm back nothing is wrong just breathe in and out." I say quietly.
He shook his head no and gripped the back of his head tighter.

I hold the back of his head but that just seemed to make things worse because he tried to get out of my grip.
"Peter hey it's okay nothing is happening." I say.

And then his eyes seemed to clear up a bit and he looked at me.
I let a breath out and then he looked around the room like he was scanning for anything or anyone else.

A couple hours later he was back on the make shift bed when the door opened and he instantly got tense.

I looked and saw Helen.
She smiled at Peter and I.
"I need to take some blood from you if that's okay." She said.
He went pale.
"it's to make sure that you aren't sick and don't have anything in your blood that could cause future harm to your body." She explained.

He looked at me and I nod.
Then he nodded and Helen looked more than shocked.
She got the needle and tied a tourniquet around his arm and he looked like he was freaking out.

And then the needle came out and he lost any color he had.
"Bud it's okay it's only gonna pinch a little and then afterwards we can eat something." I quietly say.
He swallowed hard and didn't respond to what I was saying and kept starring at the needle that was about to be pushed into his arm.

"Can you count backwards from 3 for me?" She asked.
He didn't say anything. She sighed.

She stuck the needle in and he flinched a little and his eyes watched the blood leave his body and go into the tube that was connected.
After a few seconds though she put the tube up and takes the needle out and puts an iron Man Band-Aid on where the needle was at.

She untied the tourniquet
"Alright we are done here make sure to take it easy though." She said.
He looked at the band-aid like he's never seen one before.
Helen left.
"so what are we think for dinner tonight?" I ask.
He didn't answer just continue to stare at the band-aid.

"have you never seen a band-aid before?" I ask.
He finally looked up at me and shook his head no and then went back down to looking down at the band-aid and then started picking at it.

I quickly get up.
"No if you pick at it then it will come off and you will have to get another one." I say.
He nodded.
"so what were you thinking for dinner?" I ask.
He looked at me confused.
"You pick what we have anything your little heart desires." I say.
He looked down to the ground.

"There is soup, sandwiches, or we can order take out ect." I say.
"What's take out?" He asked.
"That is what we are having corrupting you at a young age." I say.

I pull my phone out and call the usual place and order enough for everyone at the tower.
After the phone call Peter stared at my phone.

I smile.
"Do you wanna see it?" I ask.
He looked up at me and I don't wait for an answer I hand it to him.

He stares at the screen.
"You can play around with it press buttons." I say.
He continued to stare at the screen.
And then the door opened and he jumped and the phone fell to the floor and the kid started freaking out.

I quickly grab it.
"Hey Pete it's okay it's not broken." I say.
He looked at the screen and saw that it wasn't broken and he didn't necessarily calm down but he didn't have a panic attack so I would call it progress.

I turn my attention back to the door and see Steve.
"I'm sorry it's just Fury is here and needs to talk to you." He said.
I look at the kid and he looked scared.

"Send him down here." I say.
Steve nodded and then left the room.
