This isn't poetry related but this is too major for me to not say anything.

Today Stan Lee, age 95, died in a hospital in Los Angles, California.

When I found this out, my heart just broke.

My brother, my dad, and I have always loved comic books and superhero movies, and the characters he created were undeniably beautiful representations of what a superhero really was. I grew up watching Marvel movies that had come out before I was born, and continued to watch the new ones as they came out and as I grew. That was a very large part of my childhood and it still is now. I wouldn't be the person, or nerd really, that I am today without those movies. The characters he made, and even ones he co-created, were and are my idols. The movies made me laugh and cry, and every time I would watch them with my brother, we would see who could spot him as a cameo first. They brought joy into my life and I will continue watching them as long as they keep coming. Lee was an inspiration to many and is a character that will never be forgotten, the Father of Marvel.

Rest In Power & Rest In Peace to our worlds real life superhero.
