"says the person who chews like a bunny" i defend

he laughs, shaking his head

~

at 4:30, a half hour before we can go home, roy walks into the office and over to my desk

"hey y/n" he says with a big cheesy smile on his face

i smile politely at him "hi roy"

"so i was thinking that i could take you out for a few drinks after work"

"i don't drink" i say

"yes, you do"

i roll my eyes "i just don't want to go out with you"

"why not?" he pesters "i'm so much fun"

i write down a message, from a customer, that is suppose to go to jim

"i have other plans"

"i don't believe you"

i shrug "then i guess you don't"

"fine then, what are you doing?"

i get up, walking over to jim's desk, handing him the piece of paper before looking up at roy who is blocking my path

"i'm watching a movie with jim, at his place" i answer, sitting on the edge of jim's desk, glaring up at roy

jim's cheeks flush as i smile at him

my phone rings, bringing me out of my thoughts as i walk over to answer it

after directing the call to michael, i hang up

"why won't you go out with me? i'm way more built than jim. i'm more entertaining. i'm-" i cut roy off

"i said no"

"come on, y/n" he bugs

jim walks over to my desk, leaning onto it

by the expression on his face, i can tell he's barely keeping it together

and i know he won't say anything because we agreed not to tell anyone, especially the people in the office

i stand up, walking to the other side of my desk, standing in front of jim, smiling up at him

he painfully smiles down at me as roy continues

"please y/n, just a drink"

i don't even look at him as i continue to look up at jim, knowing how hard it is for him, as he gets jealous easily

"so, what movie should we watch?" i ask

"how about a horror one?" jim asks

i groan "i hate those ones and you know it"

"are you serious?" roy yells

i turn around, giving him the attention he wants, raising my eyebrow at him

"you're seriously going to ditch me for him"

"there is no ditching of you if i never agreed to go out with you in the first place"

"true" michael says

i look over, seeing him peeking out of his office

when he notices he's caught, he pops his head back in but i know he's still listening

"just leave her alone" jim says, taking a step forward as i step off to the side

"what are you gonna do about it?" roy asks, also taking a step forward

"i'm gonna kick your ass"

"do you want another black eyes?"

"bring it on"

roy throws the first punch before jim throws the next

they're going at it in seconds

i run to the phone, calling darryl and telling him to come break this fight apart

he arrives a few minutes later, pulling roy off of jim

both of them are bloody and by the looks of it, it was a pretty matched fight

darryl drags roy away as i help jim to his feet, walking him to the break room where the first aid kit is

"alright everyone" michael yells "that was entertaining, but it's now time to leave. see you monday"

everyone quickly exits, leaving me and jim alone again

i dab his bloody lips as he attempts to stop the nose bleed

once it stops, i help clean the dry blood off his face before putting an ice pack to his eye

"is this going to become a habit? where you get into fights?" i tease

but he doesn't smile

"i wouldn't of if he backed off. but he didn't, so i handled it"

i rest my hand lightly on his cheek

"i was just teasing you"

he sighs "i know, i'm just still mad about it"

i shrug "he's got nothing on you, jim"

a smile lights up his face as i stand up, placing a soft kiss to his forehead before helping him up

"i'll drive. your place or mine?"

he smiles "mine. we have a date, remember?"

i laugh, nodding "i do"

he laughs, wrapping his arm around my waist with one hand as the other continues to hold the ice pack to his eye
