One day, a woman saw a dirty cat on her way home from the market. The cat was thin and it looked hungry.
"Oh, poor little thing! You looked so ravish and hungry."
"I am lost and I have nowhere to go," the cat replied.
The woman took pity at it and took it home. She bathed the cat until it was so clean and smelled good. Then she gave it food and the cat ate until it was full.
"You could stay here as long as you want. I'd even cook you food as long as you as permission."
"This is more than enough for me," answered the cat.
The cat finally found a home. The woman was so kind to it that she let it live in her house.
But alas, when ever the woman was not around, the cat would eat whatever food was there in the table. It had its way of skillfully snatching a piece of meat or fish even when the woman was around.
"That woman! She only give me bones and leftovers for my part. That's so unfair! Might as well take what should be mine."
However, the woman caught the cat and got angry. She drove it away with a broom stick.
"You greedy, greedy cat! I never thought you'd be so ungrateful! You looked so innocent but your intentions rot and stink just like when brought you out from filth!"
"Yeah, whatever."
From then on, the cat steal food from houses to feed itself.
