Frantically, with all of my might, I sprint through the forest, darting through the trees, leaves crackling underneath my feet. I feel as though I am running in circles, never finding an escape from the dense, dark wood. I lose all energy and hide behind the nearest towering pine. I steady my heavy breathing and attempt to remain silent. I can feel my heart pounding through my chest. I have never felt more fearful of my life. I can hear the crunch of leaves in the distance, moving closer to me. Each breath I take seems to be loudest thing I have ever heard.

I wipe away the sweat trickling down my face. The area around me has gone silent. I debate whether I want to check around, run, or stay put for longer. I decide to peak around the tree to see what is behind me. I slowly turn around, peering into the dark forest. I see and hear nothing. I immediately begin to sprint away from the safety of the tree. As I run as quickly as I can, I hear a stick break behind me. My head snaps around as I see a looming shadow a ways behind me. I use what small amount of energy I have left and sprint even faster than before. I keep running as I see a light to a group of buildings in the distance. It is the outskirts of Vancouver.

My hopes rise as I move toward the light. I am almost out of the woods when I trip over a fallen branch. I turn around and see the shadow moving closer, quickly. I scramble to my feet, but not fast enough. All I feel is darkness surround me as I see the black figure loom above me. My vision goes to black...
