Why I got tattoos
Why I decided to get several piercings
And my answer is all the same: "Because I am me and I like it. I like expressing myself."
"Did you do any of it to impress someone?" They sometimes ask
"No, I did it because I like it, everything I do is for me."
Self-expression can sometimes be someone's safe haven
It can be someone's salvation
Self-expression makes people unique
It shows one's individuality
