The day had finally come, Star was awake and getting ready for his very own Pokémon adventure. He was sitting at the table with his father and mother supporting him.

Red (AN: yes, THAT Red is his father): Son, I'm proud of you, go show Frigidus what we are made of.

Lily (His mother): Oh Star, I'll miss you so much, please visit often

Star: Of course mom, will do, don't worry about me. I'll be sure to visit soon.

Just then, the doorbell rang, and Lily opened the door.

Lily: Hello Lucky, how are you doing

Lucky: I'm great Mrs. Orion, I'm looking for Star, as we are suppose to be at Mrs. Cedar's lab in 10 minutes.

Lily: Oh, I'll go call him right now. Star! Come on, you need to be at Mrs. Cedar's lab in 10 minutes.

Star: I have a sense of time mother, but I'm coming.

Star dashes to the door and gives a final goodbye to his parents before leaving for his journey. A few minutes of walking later, Lucky turned and asked him what starter he would choose, and what he would become.

Star: Well, I might want a Fire type, or maybe a Water type, I don't know.

Lucky: Ok, I know that I want I want to pick Snivy, their very proud and I love grass types.

Star: I seriously want to become the Champion of this region,

When they had gotten to the lab, Star had knocked on the door and it immediately opened, revealing an assistant of the professor.

Assistant: Oh, Star, Lucky, come in, come in. I see you are here to get your starter Pokémon, because you're in luck. We hatched a bunch of eggs a few days ago, and so you have a lot more options for starters.

Star and Lucky's eyes sparkled at her words and ran to the counter, excited to get there very first Pokémon.

On the table sat 7 different Pokémon, and Professor Cedar came in through a door.

Cedar: Star, Lucky, welcome, welcome. I see you are fascinated by these Pokémon. Let me give you both a quick description before choosing. From right to left we have Chimchar, Squirtle, Rowlet, Riolu, Ralts, Rockruff, and last but not least, Shinx.

Star: Well then, I don't know who to pick, so I'll let you decide Lucky.

Lucky: So kind, well I know I want Ralts over here.

Star: I think I know who I'm picking. Riolu, I CHOOSE YOU!

Hey, so what do you think of my first chapter, short? YES. Will it get longer, yes, but it will take longer to make.
