The King is sitting on his desk looking at the roof unable to fall asleep. He yawns, slowly gets up and walks towards his bed. As he lies in bed unable to close his eyes he thinks of what he is going to have for breakfast but then decides on just bread. His eyes look over at the wooden walls covering the bed and he blows out the candle. He drifts to sleep and is having a quiet and relaxing dream until suddenly he is awoken by a knock on the door. He jolts awake and out of frustration he screams:
"Who is it!"
No one answers. He screams again this time louder and again no answer. The person knocks again this time louder. Annoyed, the King gets out of bed and puts on his jacket as the cold air hits him. His hand reaches for the door and he slowly opens it. As soon as the door is opened, a Knight walks in and bows to the King.

"You better have a good reason for walking me up Tyran, or I will have your head." says the King pointing his finger at the Knight.

"I... think I'd be best if you sat down for this one." says Tyran looking at the King.

"Very well but make it quick." replies the King sitting down on his desk chair.

Looking at the King, Tyran gulps and unsure of how to say what he is about to say, scratches his head trying to find new ideas. He finally musters the courage to say what he is about to say and he begins his story.

"My lord... I was with my fellow knights in the woods near lake Fipoiss last night and everything was fine until.. we spotted a creature lurking not far from where we stood. I commanded five of my best soldiers to go and investigate and asked my archers to point their arrows at it as I ordered everyone to a halt. The knights I sent out walked slowly towards the creature and my archers drew their bows and suddenly the creature vanished. I asked the Knight next to me if he had seen it and he nodded yes. I asked if he had seen it vanish and again he nodded. I realized he was the mute Knight and I called the five knights back. The archers put down their weapons and as my knights were waking back I heard a noise coming from behind me and as I turned my horse I saw the creature again. Before I hadn't been able to really make out it's shape because it was hidden deep in the woods but this time it was on the trail and I could make out it's shape perfectly. It was a Demon."

The King about to take a sip of his water drops it as he hears the last sentence.
"Repeat that again." demands the King.

"It was a Demon" says Tyran.

The King puts his hand over his head and looks at the floor.

"Are you sure?" asks the King still looking down.

"Absolutely! It looked just like it does in the books and it's red glowing eyes confirmed it. I too thought I had been dreaming until the other knights drew there swords and pointed them at the creature. They were ready to fight and so we drew our swords and we attacked it with all our force. We managed to defeat it but we lost two of our men when it stabbed them in the chests." replies Tyran looking at his scabbard.

"But, if it was a Demon then how did you manage to defeat it without the Emerald Sword? Only the ancient Emerald was able to defeat the demons and even though it was a giant emerald almost the size of this room it was scattered throughout the land and the only objects that were made out of it were the Emerald Armor, helmet, sword and shield. So how did you manage to defeat this demon?" asks the King.

"Come to think of it, we didn't really see it die but more of it vanishing again. However I assumed it was dead when it didn't appear again." says Tyran.

"If The Demons have returned, there is only one thing to do. Get every Knight you have and tell them to go start searching for any piece of Emerald they find. Also I want you to go to every village and tell every villager that who ever finds even the smallest Emerald will be rewarded. I don't know what the reward is but I'll think of something. I want the Knights searching as soon as tomorrow after breakfast and one more thing from you. Go to the library and see if you can find any information as to what happened to the Emerald armor helmet and sword." says the King slamming his fist on his desk as the sun rises behind them.

"Very well." says Tyran as he bows and leaves the room yawning .
