A bus stopped at a line station surrounded by a forest, the nearest that existed to Gravity falls.
Gravity falls was a town that was so small that it wasn't even shown in a map, so you'd assume that nobody would go there.

And normally, it was true, but that day there was a girl getting out of the bus, carrying a backpack and a trolley. As she reached the ground, she put her bag down and looked around.

'Wasn't Great uncle Stan supposed to pick me up?' The girl (who, by the way, is Tania, in case you haven't realized that yet) sat down on the station's bench. She nervously played with her short, dark brown hair, stopped, and began to chew on her black zip-up-hoodie's strings.

Tania looked around once more, wondering where the hell her great uncle was.
'Maybe he got into a car accident! Or he was kidnapped by aliens! Oh no, what do I do? Do I call the cops? But they wouldn't believe me! They'd probably think I'm a dumb, annoying girl who-'

Before Tania could drown into the ocean of her own thoughts, she heared a car drive into her direction.
She looked up, seeing a red, pretty old looking car stopping in front of the station. The driver's window opened, and out looked a man with gray hair and a fez.

"Hey kiddo! You're Tania, right?", he shouted over to her. The girl quickly nodded, and went over to the car, her bags in her hand.

The man, who was probably great uncle Stan, was already outside of the car, and opened the trunk. For a moment, Tania hesitated; what if this wasn't her uncle, but some random man who was going to kidnap her?

Tania considered asking for the man's ID, before telling herself to quit being so paranoid. Who else would know that there was a Tania waiting for her great uncle, right here, right now?

'Maybe a mind reading alien?' 'For God's sake, Tania! Stop it!' As she was having an inner battle between her paranoia and her realism, she didn't notice the man already placing the bags in the trunk.
"You just wanna stand there or get in?", he asked her, as he opened the car door. "Uh? Y-yeah...", Tania mumbled embarrassed.

'Note to self; don't have inner mind battles in public or people will think that you're stupid. Not that you aren't...'
Tania was sitting in the back of the car, glancing over to Stan as she thought of a way to start a conversation.
'-Nice weather, don't you think?- No! No talking about the weather! It's boring as hell! What about... -How big is the town?- No, wait, to sudden! I should introduce myself first. But he already knows who I am, that'd be stupid! God!!! Why is talking to people so hard???'

Luckily, Stan saved her from her misery by starting the conversation; "Ya know, I thought you were thirteen, at least it's what your parents told me. How come you're actually ten?"
Or maybe not so lucky after all, as he mentioned the thing Tania was the most insecure about (no, that's wrong; second most).
The only thing the girl wanted to do are the moment was curl up and die. She knew that she looked exactly like a ten-year old, both through her height and the fact that the only thing that puberty brought her was acne and her body was still formed like a stick.
"I- I AM thirteen!", Tania said, a bit too whiney for her liking. Great! Now he'll think she's a cry baby as well!

Stan began bursting out laughing, which made Tania wanting to die even more than before.

"Good one kid, good one!", her great uncle said, whipping a tear from his eye, then kept on laughing.

When he noticed that Tania was curled up in the back of the car, not saying a word, he stopped.

"Oh, you're not joking?", he asked, but it only took one look at Tania's I-wanna-die expression that he knew the answer.

"Oh, eh, well...", he began saying, trying to get out of the awkward situation.

Then he realized that they had arrived. "Hey kid, we're here!", he shouted over to his great niece, his confidence back again.
