My life was always simple. Wake up, brush teeth, take shower, get dressed, leave the house, go to school, come home, eat dinner, sleep, and repeat. Now my life is so much more different.

My name is Hope, I'm 15 years old and I go to Cali high. I have a best friend named Charlotte. I'm a straight-A student and I'm captain of the Cali Dance Team. My favorite subject is the ELA.

All of that changed when my parents went missing...

1 YEAR LATER...

"So when do you want me to come over Charlotte..." she replied with, "In 2 minutes, K..." I said, "K." and hung up the phone. I got my clothes:

I started towards Charlotte's house. She was waiting outside on the porch. Once she saw me she ran and jumped into my arms. Charlotte has been my best friend since pre-school. She has always been by my side, even when my parents went missing.

"Hey, Hope... Let's head inside, K!"

"Okay... But what are we doing exac-"

"SUPRISE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOPE"

I was cut off by yells of people, trying to tell me... I can't... I have to get out of here.

"Hope! Where are you going?"

I untangled from Charlotte's grasp and ran out the front door. As I was approaching my front door I broke. I was balling my eyes out before I got inside, when I did get inside, I ran up to my room and fell asleep.........

"Hooopppeeee... Hooopppeeee... Help me Hope!"

I woke up in a cold sweat. The clock read in bright light, "12:00", officially 1 year and 1 day from my parent's disappearance. But that voice, it wasn't my moms. It was another woman's voice...
